Musicians and fans of the heavy metal music community often get a bad rap because of their dark, gruff and tattooed looks. The adorable photo series published in Metal Cats by Alexandra Crockett sets out to change all that by getting famous musicians to pose with their adorable kittens and show off their softer sides.
The people posing in these photos represent famous bands with names that are anything but cuddly – Napalm Death, Cattle Decapitation, Murder Construct, Skeletonwitch and Lightning Swords Of Death. But despite these fearsome band names and their black leather, spikes, tattoos, and muscles, it’s clear that they share a close relationship with their cute cats just like the rest of us.
What’s even better is that these musicians, most of whom have thousands of supporters worldwide, aren’t just putting their faces behind the cause. A series of benefit concerts will be held along the U.S. West Coast, and the proceeds from these concerts, along with a portion of the book’s proceeds, will go to no-kill animal shelters at each of the four cities visited by the benefit shows.

Jason Hook from Five Finger Death Punch has 2 cats and his gf/wife has 2 cats, so in to to...4 cats. He loves them ALL. Mike Fasano from Tiger Army. There are other very WELL KNOWN musicians who prefer the putty cats too such as Freddie Mercury who would call his cats while on the road. Yes, and I don't find it crazy cause I call my cats too on the phone. Also, Russell Brand, David Bowie had cats, John Lennon. Other celebs include: Robert Downey Jr., Lou Diamond Phillips with his 5 big Maine C**n cats, Ernerst Hemingway loved polydactyl cats, Mark Twain loved cats and his main cat, Tiger. There are so many great men and women who love cats and make them better people in my eyes. I'm a little biased, I love cats

There are also MANY well known musicians who LOVE life with their cats for instance: Freddy Mercury from Queen. He would "call" his cats Oscar & Tiffany while on the road and I get it. When I was away from home, I did the same thing LOL. David Bowie, Joan Jett, John Lennon, Joe Perry from Aerosmith, Russell Brand, to just name a few musician cats that have/had great lives. Here are some p***y cat lovers that are non musicians: Einstein was big time KNOWN for his love of felines especially Tiger, Lou Diamond Phillips has 5 FIVE big Maine C**n Cats, Ernest Hemingway and his love of 6 toed cats, Mark Twain (who wrote, and I love this: When a man loves his cat, I am his friend and comrade, without further introduction) LOVE THIS, Marilyn Monroe with her Persian, Robert Downey Jr., and one I LOVE.....Ricky Gervais....Love Ricky and love him more knowing he's a cat daddy. Anyway, here's just a few to mention LOL

Love the idea but why no captions? I ordered the kindle version since it goes to a good cause but it doesn't say who anyone is or what band they're in.
