Kitty Grows Up Hugging His Human Every Day, Won’t Stop Even After Becoming A GIANT

Meet Tihon, the giant Maine Coon cat who just wants to cuddle every chance he gets. “He likes to sit in my arms all the time. He doesn’t like to be alone, and always follows me wherever I go, even the bathroom,” Moscow-based Tihon’s human mom told Love Meow.

“He is very quiet. In Russian ‘Tiho’ is quiet, hence his name. He purrs quietly and lovingly. His mission is always to be near me,” she added.

Every day, the kitty, who has an unusual pair of eyes – one blue and one hazel – waits by the door to greet his humans when they come home from work. He jumps into their lap right away for some serious cuddle time.

Even though Tihon has such an impressive physique, he lets the other, smaller cat, be the boss in the house. It seems like Tihon is not interested in all those power games, he just wants to spread love – and the gentle giant does just that, 24/7.

This breed is amazing when it comes to character. I have a red one named Dexter. He is so gentle, sweet and adorable like no other cat I ever came across with. I always recommend this breed to anyone who ask for advice :)

My family have always wondered if our Ollie (RIP, he passed away a year ago) had Maine C**n in him. I know, I know... lots of people say that, whenever they have a longhair, but he fits the personality description to a "T": he had a meek-sounding, kittenish mew; he was a gentle giant who only ever wanted to be friends with everyone/everycat, and wanted to snuggle all of the time (shameless lap cat. If you removed him, he'd look up at you with a hurt expression, and then jump right back in your lap!); at 17 lbs he was all muscle and fur, without even trying he had well-built muscles; he could still take down the odd robin as a present for my parents, and if his toy mice were any indication, at least death came swiftly to the birds: every toy mouse Ollie had was crushed/chomped until flat or even in bits, within a day. He had such strong bite-force for a cat, he could do that. He never, EVER took it out on his people or other cats, though. He was like a puppy, he even wagged his tail! 722-5906b7...8584b1.jpg 722-5906b718584b1.jpg

Wow...Tihon's head is almost the size of its owners one.

Nah, it's because he's closer to the camera. Look at the second photo from the top, they're at about the same distance from the camera, there. His head isn't even half the size of hers. Still a huge cat.
