I’ve Illustrated Dogs To Raise Money For Charity

I saw this bulldog on a swing, making the viral rounds. He was bored out of his mind and he was just looking at the camera man. The caption was ‘I hope you are entertained Hooman.’ It’s not how I visualized a bulldog on a swing. So I illustrated how I thought it would look, with it’s jowls flapping in the wind and a pure look of happiness in it’s face.

This got me to think about dogs and I thought about my two in particular. Both are rescues. One we actually just got last hear from this amazing rescue adoption agency called Leaps (http://www.wix.leaps.co.za/). I visited their facebook page and saw all these dogs that needed adopting, so I got my sketchbook out.

I’ve created these illustrations of what I like to think is their inner character. With Leap’s permission, I’ve uploaded them onto my Society6 website (https://society6.com/beckerling/collection/leap-rescue-dogs) to both raise awareness and to raise funds.
