“BLUEPRINT” is the last digital Audiovisual installation made by Joanie Lemercier for STRP Biennale 2015 in Eindhoven (NL). Joannie Lemercier was among the first artists to develop the idea of projection mapping. After being part of Anti-Vj for several years he is now building works on its own.

The work “BLUEPRINT” takes the architectural drawing as raw material to explore the notion of a “map” which give birth from formless design to an actual form. The work explores different notion of architecture: from the cosmic architecture at the origin of our world to the human architecture which leads the construction of our society.

Like most of Joannie Lemercier’s works BLUEPRINT explores the idea of an actual construction (a designed space or drawing) facing a virtual projection. Here, a monolithic screen and 2 satellites screens participate in the construction of a space on which the second part of the work is projected. This work in 2 parts could be like a metaphor of our world: all the constructions in the world are empty without the lights brought by the life they host.
