The thing I like the most about being a photographer is the ability to grasp what is impermanent. Apart from being a portrait photographer, today I would like to present you something that I have been working on for the past 2 years.
Before I started photography, I was astonished by postmodern art, Zdzisław Beksiński’s surreal paintings and a touch of sadness that is present in songs of my favorite band – Katatonia. Their art and music live trough the series.
Dealing with depression in 2013 I wanted to find an escape, a creative way of letting the sadness go. Photography seemed to me like a fine medium for it and that’s how story of friendship and healing between me and my camera began.
