A few years back I found about 300+ original photos in a wooden crate that the owners had kept to throw in the fire, in an old Indo-Portuguese house that was been demolished to give way for a modern housing complex.
These photos, clicked circa 1930 by Paul & Souza Photographers are of different Goan churches, temples, bridges and other prominent structures of that time.
As part of the GOA – Then and Now project, I have been visiting and trying to click from the same location and angle a newer photo, similar to the original photo. Hopefully one day will publish them in book form.
