Guy Leaves Egg In Car During Hot Day To Show Why You Should Never Leave Your Dog There

Someone just posted an instructional series of photos of what happens to an egg in a frying pan left in a parked car on a hot day for 15 minutes – all in the hope of raising awareness about NOT leaving dogs in a car.

According to PETA, every year dogs suffer and even die when their owners leave them in a parked car – even if it’s ‘just a minute’ to run an errand. The organization calls parked cars a ‘deathtrap for dogs’. “On a 78-degree day, the temperature inside a parked car can soar to between 100 and 120 degrees in just minutes, and on a 90-degree day, the interior temperature can reach as high as 160 degrees in less than 10 minutes.”

This can lead to brain damage or sudden heatstroke death in just 15 minutes. Remember that for dogs beating heat is extra tough, because the only way of cooling themselves they have is by panting and by sweating through their paw pads.

PETA also warns of the danger of hot pavement – if it’s too hot for you to touch pavement with your hand, it will be too hot for your four-legged friend. “If you wouldn’t put your dog in a frying pan, please don’t make him or her walk on hot pavement.”

Poor babies. If you have to be reminded that your dog will die in a hot car, you don't need one!!! How about don't own an animal. That one is a pekingese and they usually have respiratory issues anyway from facial structure. My MIL was assaulted one day because she called the police on a man for leaving his dog in the car. The police basically told her not to be nosy. Let's just say she got a written apology and pressed charges against the dog owner for putting his hands on her.

Pug, not pekingese. Pekingese would be even worse as they have the same smushed nose that causes respiratory problems, plus long fur.

It is unreal how every fricking summer people have to be reminded of this. Luckily in Finland, leaving animal in car on a warm day is a crime. (Obviously if aircontioned, not) Any person is allowed to rescue an animal if it appears to be in distress. So leave doggy in car on a hot day, you'll have ur window smashed, and police will be waiting for you with a fine.

Yeah same in Germany. You are always allowed to save people and animals from cars if they are in danger and the police would take too long to arrive. Luckily on hot days a lot of businesses allow dog owners to take their pets inside with them if possible!

Not only just in cars, I'm not a dog owner but I'm tired of seeing owners walk their dogs on black top or sidewalk when it's too way hot!!!

in Israel, in the past years, many people "forget" their children in the car... and the child dies from the same reason, heat. wanna hear something crazy ? the parents do not get punished by the law because "of course they didn't mean to do it on purpose".

It feels like it's a high time to introduce an exam to pass before one can get an animal. Some people forget the responsibility part of it.

People don't just leave pets in their cars. They leave kids, the elderly and the disabled. And guess what? They die too. Honestly, I feel like car makers should take this problem more seriously and make some kind of venting system so the insides of cars don't get so hot. Not that people shouldn't be, y'know, SMART and think about this issue themselves. Can't these people just leave their pets at home? We leave our dog at home, not in a freaking hot car. Yeah, he mopes, but he's far better off at home where it's cool. Also, yes, PETA are freaking monsters. Don't support them. Ever. They claim to care about animals, but they murder them with alarming regularity. They take all that profit for themselves, and murder the animals they're supposed to care for. Google it to read about some of the horrific s**t they've done.
