Maternity pictures. Just when you thought you’d seen it all, Lilica happened. Snapped by Brazilian photographer Ana Paula Grillo, the pregnant dog proudly displays her baby bump in all its glory. This adorable dog the whole new standard for looking fab.
Grillo told Bored Panda that the dog maternity shoot lasted only 20 minutes. “It was amazing, I felt like I understood her completely,” Grillo explained. “She made sensational poses!” The next day after taking these cute pictures, Lilica gave birth to 5 amazing puppies.
While dog pregnancy is definitely something worth celebrating, and while all the pups have found homes among Lilica owner’s family members, way too many unfortunate ones end up on the streets. So Bored Panda would like to remind everybody of the importance of spaying and neutering your pets. It not only helps to reduce the number of strays; it also benefits your pets’ health.

Responsibly breeding dogs is not the main reason the U.S. has an animal population problem. People in this country treat animals like disposable property and as soon as they tire of the animal or it becomes a "problem" because they have no idea how to handle a pet, they dump it often moving on to a new one. I agree that non-pedigreed breeding should be severely curbed, we always neuter and spay our pets, but if you think all breeding will cease anytime soon, you are delusional. Breeders will always continue the blood lines of the breeds we all know and love.
For FS spay your dogs, already too many strays and homeless animals, too many killed in shelters. Stop breeding!
Stop pretending that spaying and neutering is in the animals best interest. I neutered my cat and I feel awful about it. It's literal genital mutilation just so I can have something to pet. That's so disturbing. I'll never do it again.
