The world is full of “cons”, Comic Con, Monster Con and Wonder Con to name a few. Most people have been to or at least heard of these specialized conventions, but now there’s a new game is in town, and it has cat enthusiasts everywhere purring with delight. Enter Cat Con, the one and only con in the world dedicated to all things feline. Want to see the latest in litter box innovations, check out some new organic cat food or meet your favorite famous felines in person, all while wearing light up cat ears and a tail? Then Cat Con is for you! Cat-centric vendor after vendor lined the Pasadena Convention Center, each with its own unique products to show to the masses. The attendees were as much a part of the spectacle as the honored guests; costumes and whiskers and happy, cat-loving grins were in abundance, to be sure. There were even cats available for adoption and plenty of opportunities to get involved in the cat rescue scene.
If it’s the internet famous cats you’re after, then look no further than Cat Con. Many of the biggest names were there, including none other than Nala Cat, White Coffee Cat and Hello Luna Rose! With over 5 million followers between them, all three of these famous kitties have the same owners. For social media influencers like them, conventions like Cat Con are a great way to connect with fans, have fun and make some money. These three cats were involved in merchandising and meet and greets, and had an entire sales team working to make sure fans had access to everything they wanted. Their booth was definitely one of the busiest, with people flocking to purchase just about anything with their likenesses.
How does one even begin to put their own cat on the path to social media stardom? Pets on Q CEO Colleen Wilson (who happens to be Nala, White Coffee and Luna’s manager) says it’s not as easy as one might think. “It’s not just about having the cutest pet on the block or taking pretty pictures. Everyone’s pet is cute. Your pet needs to have something that makes people take interest.” According to Colleen, “Nala, White Coffee and Luna’s humans are able to capture their personalities in the images and in the captions, which is so important. People relate to these three very different cat’s personalities in different ways, and they keep coming back for more.”
Whether you are a cat superfan and want to meet your cat-crush, are seriously shopping for the latest and greatest in cat products, or just want to come and people-watch, I highly recommend you check out Cat Con for yourself. It’s one of those things that you really need to experience in person.

Pets on Q is an Animal Influencer Management company that represents many famous animals. Only three of their animals could be at Cat Con (Nala, White Coffee and Luna) but they made cut outs of many cats (and one fox) on their talent roster so they could be there in spirit. The fans LOVED it!
