Most of us grew up reading Winnie the Pooh - a book that is the absolute classic and stays as one of the top children books to this day. Winnie The Pooh has his own star on the Hollywood Walk of fame for a reason. He's not just another cute bear. Pooh is a fluffy bundle of joy, and childish wisdom, whose take on life might inspire you to reassess yours.

Pooh can advise you on such matters as love, missed goals, or selflessness. You might not even be aware, that the quotes you use are not Shakespearian, but actually, Winnie the Pooh quotes. Created by English author A. A. Milne, Pooh first appeared in print in 1926. Since then, Pooh has been reimagined in many different countries. The Polish even named a street after him in Warsaw, and there's also a Winnie the Pooh day on January the 18th, celebrated on Milne's birthday.

Without other Winnie the Pooh characters - Eeyore, Piglet, Christopher Robin, and others, the pooh quotes wouldn't be as they are. Each of these characters forms the little bear's point of view.

Bored Panda decided to compile a list of the greatest quotes from the collection of his book series to mark his timeless wisdom.

The sad aspect of this theme is the use of the Disney illustrations of Winnie the Pooh. One of the greatest features of the original Pooh was the E. H. Shepard drawings, and one of Disney's many sins against children's literature was the Hanna-Barbera-style animation used to supplant them. I fear generations of Americans look on Winnie, thanks to Disney, as another ancestor of Yogi Bear.
