Because they're cartoonish and have big eyes? My influencers are Tim Burton, Sophia Rapata, Angelina Wrona... all existed and created beautiful art BEFORE selfie culture. I have been drawing imagery like this since I was a child, I'm 36... we didn't have the internet when I was a kid, let alone selfies lol

I'm overweight... weight has nothing to do with any of it... I have ONE shot to portray my feelings in one single image... the best way for me to portray frail to shrink bodies and create that atmosphere... weight doesn't even come into play

They sure are :) The intention is for them to come across as fragile. The girl in the original photo here is VERY skinny already. Obviously the edited version doesnt exist in reality. I also enlarged the head, eyes and warped facial features, body and hands. Also, no ones mouth stretches that far across their face in reality :) Try not to attempt to normalize it, thats not the intention.
