In consultation with scientists and beekeepers Manitoba-born artist Aganetha Dyck has developed an artistic practice using hundreds of bees to “mend” the broken and second-hand objects she collects. The resulting honeycomb-fused sculptures raise issues about waste and recycling as well as environmental concerns as bees and other pollinators are facing extinction due to climate change and pesticides.
