To mark the 15th anniversary of September 11, tea bag artist Ruby Silvious painted the Freedom Tower with 2,996 dots, in honor of all the lives lost during the attacks. Below is the making of the design.
Week 36 is part of her newest series called 52 Weeks of Tea, where she paints on a tea bag each week this year, using the emptied out bag as her miniature canvas. 52 Weeks of Tea is the sequel of her visual journal last year, called 363 Days of Tea, now a published book, of the same title.
With the tower undotted so it would read better, it was still 900+ short of dots
