A Little Sister Waiting To Come Home!!! Waiting For Tee With Rosie!

What would you do if someone sent you a photo of an orphan in China that looked so much like your soon to be adopted daughter? For Marjorie St John it seemed incredible! This little girl that she had never met seemed like her daughter,it was as if she already knew her. Marjorie had to put those feelings aside because the St John Family had just brought home not one but two special needs orphans. Financially the family had just fundraised and saved to be able to pay for Ami and Owen’s adoption. The two ,the dynamic duo,settled into the now family of nine and learned what love and a family can do for a child. It was a tough year with some very scary medical unknowns to deal with regarding Ami. Marjorie states “We have no business even considering an adoption after the year we’ve had, right? I began to advocate. That had to be the answer. I would find her family. I discovered she is actually from the same orphanage that Ami and Owen were from. They were there at the same time. She was even on our agency’s list at the same time. I discovered she was in the process of being adopted and her family got all the way to travel time, but never traveled for her. My two tots were home and still she waited.”

But even with everything happening Marjorie still had Rosie on her mind and in her heart. ” I held a fundraiser for a grant for the family who would step forward for her. No one did. Every week I checked in with her agency hoping that someone had stepped forward and committed to being her family. No one did. How could that be? Did they even see her? Were they looking at those big brown eyes that only lacked the twinkle that comes from being adored? Did they notice the way her tiny fingers held onto the paper with her name? Couldn’t they imagine those little fingers holding onto a drawing of her own while she toddled over for hugs and sloppy kisses? Or was I somehow the only one who saw her… as a daughter?”
But the entire St John family saw Rosie.. as a daughter and a little sister. They have been saving money,going without the extras,being frugal because that is what family does when one member is in need. Make no mistake Rosie is in need. She is in need of hugs,kisses,and giggles. She is in need of brothers and sister showing her how to play on the swing and play games. She is in need of her mommy and daddy to tuck her in bed and give her kisses and sweet dreams. She is in need of her family.

Regardless of any future DNA testing to determine whether Ami and Rosie are biologically sisters,the St John Family knows without a doubt that Rosie is their child and a loved family member.The St John’s hope to travel by fall to bring their daughter to her forever family. Hurry home Rosie!!
