Everything started with the design of a donkey mask for a theater play. The mask got rejected by the theater crew and was useless lying around at our office. One day Maik Perfahl and myself (Wolfgang List) had the idea to cut a whole in the top of the donkey mask and put a light through. Our first prototype of a lamp shade was born. Since this day we always work on new products around our first design.
The lamp shades get produced by ourselves in our office in Vienna. The silver pendants get designed by us and produced in Belgium. The porcelain figurines are a cooperation with the 300 year old porcelain manufacturer Augarten from Vienna.
We also work in the field of art and offer workshops to Universities and Museums around the world. With the same technique of our lamp shade designs we create huge paper sculptures.
