My chore every day is to take care of our ten chickens. After school, I gather eggs and check the water. Spotting something rocketing back and forth inside the tractor. (There is an ongoing fear of something getting in. I’m a protective chicken mama)

I tiptoed over. Saw what it was. Screamed for Mom and Dad. I scoop it up, faring off the completely calm chickens. Cuddling it to my chest, I checked it for injuries and released it to where we thought it’s burrow was. (We have a history of rabbits in our garden.) The chickens laid more than they ever had before!

Look Dad!

We returned him to the garden bed to live a full (of fluff) life.

Can I keep him?

I’m in Looooove

Safe and sound

We checked him for injuries and gender.. (Don’t ask)
