Incredible Photos Of An Uncontacted Amazon Tribe That Doesn’t Know Our Civilization Exists
Brazilian photographer Ricardo Stuckert had his helicopter flight diverted because of a storm, but this detour led to a remarkable photos of a remote rain forest tribe.
These high-resolution images were taken in Brazil’s state of Acre, near its border with Peru. This region strictly protects its forests and indigenous inhabitants. The photographs show a small group of people with plain clothing, weapons, and body paint. During contact, one man even threw his spear towards the helicopter.
Experts claim that it’s the same indigenous tribe that gained global attention in 2008 when photos of tribesmen in red body paint depicted them launching arrows at a low-flying airplane. They are thought to be moving around about every four years or so.
“I felt like I was a painter in the last century,” Stuckert said to National Geographic. “To think that in the 21st century, there are still people who have no contact with civilization, living like their ancestors did 20,000 years ago—it’s a powerful emotion.”

Brazilian photographer Ricardo Stuckert had his helicopter flight diverted because of a storm…
…but this detour led to a remarkable discovery of a remote rain forest tribe
“To think that in the 21st century, there are still people who have no contact with civilization, living like their ancestors did 20,000 years ago—it’s a powerful emotion”
“These groups change locations every four years or so”
Some tribe members threw spears and fired arrows at the uninvited guests
“They’re messages. Those arrows mean ‘Leave us in peace. Do not disturb’”
“Once their territory is encroached by loggers or prospectors, the isolated groups are finished”
“They could disappear from the face of the Earth, and we wouldn’t even know it”
Because they have not yet made peaceful contact with the outside world, the tribe’s name is still unknown
Brazil’s officials call them simply “isolated Indians of the upper Humaitá”
The encounter took place in the state of Acre, near Brazil’s border with Peru

"Those arrows mean ‘Leave us in peace. Do not disturb"...so you kept coming and going over them to take pictures?
Besides, it is pretty arrogant to claim to know what this means.
Load More Replies...I'm Brazilian, this don't is cool, guys this Indio tribe's one the most uncontacted of the our Amazônia Florest, on this way (invading their life) we're unrespecting their costumes and culture. Think about it!
Why they kept going there and mess with their life? Leave them the f**k alone.
They are using an iron and plastic machete thats not so 'isolated' ths story is BS
Doesn't mean they aren't trading with other tribes that do have some contact. There are shade of grey between full on contact with "civilization" & keeping themselves completely isolated. Australian Aboriginal seashells would find their way to land locked desert tribes & hand axes from inland mining sites would find their way out with neither tribe having seen the original source of the product, why would the machetes be any different.

These people are probably much better off not knowing what a mess of things the rest of us have made.
Most of the human race isn't civilised to they won't be missing anything, leave them in peace !!
I'm all for respecting indigenous culture if that's what they want, but at the same time, respect them enough to let them choose. Maybe if they knew about indoor plumbing, air conditioning and movies, they'd say "HOLY S**T YES" and jump ship. My ancestors scrabbled in the mud in Europe and I don't feel like any one of them wouldn't choose this lifestyle if given the option.
Leave them alone! They will get dragged out of Eden and into Hell by "civilization".
They are clearly upset at having their pictures taken, but the photographer just carries on. Invasion of privacy! Now that the pics are on the internet, do you think they'll be left in peace?
Ricardo Stuckert, why don't you leave these people alone? Clearly they don't want you there, can't you understand?
I hate that guy who exposes these tribe and their location.THIS IS A CAPITALIST WORLD MAN THEY ARE SOON GOING TO BE EXPLOITED BECAUSE OF HIM
Taking photos with a powerful zoom lens from a helicopter is ok everyone.......chill out! These photos are proof of these tribes to the governments of Peru, Brazil, and other countries and hopefully, they will encourage those governments to protect them.
I think they know of civilised peoples. That machete looks store-bought.
The tattooed gentleman is holding a machete..maybe he ordered it off Amazon I bet they get a good deal on shipping bahahahahaha
View the movie, "End of the Spear" to get a grasp on feuding tribes in the Amazon. https://youtu.be/J9qQjN1mZBo
It is VERY dangerous for these tribes to come into contact with people from the outside. They do not have the natural immunities to even the simplest illnesses, therefore many of them become extremely ill and many even die!
They have no immunizations or healthcare. They die young just like we did 20k years ago

what a whole load of c**p.. 1- it's hard to believe these "unknown" tribes stayed hidden for so long.. if they have been living like their ancestors they should have an entire nation full of them by now.. or do they have birth control methods to limit the number of their children to only 1.. 2- the equipment and the tailoring of the hat in one of the pictures looks pretty advanced for a primitive group of people to obtain... 3- the entire story is so cliche that National Geographic would be embarrassed to talk about it.. welcome to the new age.. where every hoax can be easily recognised.. make up a better story next time
