This Is Why I Want To Help People That Are Suicidal.

When I was 11 years old, (14 now) My dad was having a battle against his heroin addiction. For a while I did not hear from my father, he was missing. When I did hear from him he was in pain crying about how much he missed and how sorry he was, he wished that he could just kill himself. The day after he called me I had called him back and told him how that dying would not help him and that it would do more harm than good. After five days of talking I had convinced him to go get help form his family and to go to church to ask for forgiveness and to talk to the pastor. One month later my dad was starting a job, got a girlfriend, and was starting to visit more often. My dad told me that if it wasn’t for me he probably would have taken his own life. This is why I want to help people because people deserve a chance to live no one should take their own life even if you thank you should.
P.S. this is my first time telling this story also my first time posting on anything be easy on the comments.
It’s not worth it.

Share on FacebookLovely post. I have been wondering about suicide for a while now. (I have depression). Reading this reminds me that there really are people who still care, even though it usually feels like there aren't. I am almost thirteen, and I am glad to hear that there is someone close to my age that cares. With adults, it feels like they are pushing me aside. Thank you for sharing. I'm glad your dad is doing better.
I also apologize if those emails don't work those are my high school emails.
Load More Replies...Lovely story, bless you for saving your father. Please correct the headline: "Wan't" looks like "Won't" and it got me a little upset before I was fully awake. Should be "Want". Bless you again for your kindness and wisdom.
