Hey fellow pandas! I am an emerging artist, I dream of making a living from my art. I have created some merch based on my drawings. Do you think there is a chance to sell such merch successfully? Please share your honest opinion!

Load More Replies...Honest info here: My son is a fine arts photographer, trained at the best photography school in the country, graduated with all A's, won competitions against his own professors. Making a livable income solely by selling one's art is extraordinarily difficult and rare. 1) it's a career choice overly dependent on the economic swing of the times. If times are tough, the first thing people cut from their budget is the fine arts. (the first cuts school districts make are to the art & music departments) 2)your training must include a solid background in marketing & business management. You can not trust your $ to someone else. 3) Every artist we know sells their art as a 2nd gig and has a main job for paying their bills. Those are the sad, hard facts.
Thanks Joan!!! Very detailed and useful advice <3<3<3 !!!
Load More Replies...1: i dont think that art style is for everyone so dont take it personally if some people dont like it of course! 2: i think you are really talented and creative and i really like them!
Oh and a suggestion is you should turn some of these into little sculptures. Maybe 3-d printed or molded with clay?
