My mother has always been abusive. All my life, she kept punishing me for every little thing. I remember one time she got home from work and saw that dinner wasn’t ready, so she burnt the back of my hand with a grill. But I still believed that she would change one day. But it only got worse.

The father did not report his ex trying to kill their daughter??? That is just f*cked up.

It always bewilders me how someone who so clearly hates their kids would be so determined not to have them leave. I guess it's a power thing. Hell, Fred West *murdered* his daughter on the day she was going to leave forever. "Then no man shall."
