An Indie fashion magazine, Cole magazine is delighted to bring to the notice of the general public the launching of its newest Issue featuring All Black Female and male models.

The ninth issue of the fashion magazine, which happens to be its very first all-black model issue, focuses on the theme of “Black is Beautiful.” Black People are awesome and come in many different skin tones and from many different cultures, and COLE is dedicating this issue solely to these beautiful models. As the Editor in Chief of COLE is a Black Woman herself, she understands that this is a very needed issue and wants to show the World that Black models are out there and are fabulous while giving them the spotlight to shine!

Stories of fashion industry racism are now so well known it's easy to become blasé about them, and many come from the few successful black runway and photo models in the business. Dunn has spoken out repeatedly and bravely about how she is often turned away because the client "doesn't want any more black female models" and is rejected for being "colored."

Obviously black as a clothing color is de rigueur – so slimming! – But as skin color, it has, shall we say, struggled to be accepted by the fashion photography. Black models are still too often relegated to token status.
