Baby & Bulldog Born On Same Day Think They’re Brothers And Do Everything Together
Dog’s are often called “man’s best friend,” but what about babies? When Chicago mother Ivette Ivens, 25, saw a French bulldog puppy that was born on the same day as her baby son Dilan, she knew it was a sign. “I saw Farley’s birth date and just knew it’s meant to be,” she told the Daily Mail.
Farley, the little bulldog pup, joined the family about five months ago and has been following around baby Dilan ever since. “I’m pretty sure Dilan thinks they’re both the same species, as they walk at the same level and are both going through the stage of chewing on everything.”
We recently featured Ivens and her breastfeeding photo series “I breastfeed my toddler,” which was exhibited in Chicago; later this year, she is releasing her photo-book, Breastfeeding Goddess. Ivens also specializes in family photography.

“I’m pretty sure Dilan thinks they’re both the same species”
“Farley patiently plays with him and tries not to snore while they both nap”
“It’s honestly the most loving connection – pure, unconditional, irreplaceable and inseparable”
“Farley is very gentle and clumsy at times – we have to remember he is still only a baby, too”
“My little Dilan is a chilled-out baby and he’s always happy, but for some reason Farley really cracks him up. I love seeing them together”
“He cleans up Dilan’s mess after he eats, and always licks Dilan’s neck if he is crying, so he starts laughing out loud”
Dilan also enjoys spending time with the rest of his family

Load More Replies...The last photo disrupted the magic of true companionship and innocence. Photo essays can be deeply moving if the theme is maintained. In this case, the continuity between the Dilan and Farley is broken by the last photo.
Beautiful pics, & I'm not creeped by the last one, but the only way it would have fit the narrative was if the pup had been nursing rather than another human, LOL.
All other photos are adorable, but the last one is just not in the norm in the Western countries. Maybe even in the east too. Did anyone ever read that these moms who breasts feed toddlers have an organic experiences? Maybe this is why it is done, also, frowned upon it. Something to think about. Why so many are so adamant about continuing to breasts feed?
Load More Replies...The last one was unnecessary. I breast feed my kids and never felt the urge or need to flaunt it. It was baby and me time.
First of all. World health association recommends that a child breastfeeds until the age of 4. And it does relate to the article because she says that he also loves being with the other family too. Also if breastfeeding children makes you uncomfortable then you have issues.
That is because, in many developing countries, quality food is not highly available. No reason to do so where good nutritional food is available.
Load More Replies...The last pix it's the most beautiful and meaning. With a strong message. The other one's are cute.
Darling! To you who think breastfeeding or tandem nursing is creepy, it's quite normal. Children in many parts of the world nurse to an older age.
Even in european country. Only murica goes crazy.
Load More Replies...So baby should not nurse once they get teeth? Mine got his when he was 5 months ;) Now he is 16 months, has 12 teeth, eats normal food, but guess what? Instead of giving him cow milk - which was originaly meant to be food for baby cows, I give him my milk, because I am his mother and my milk is the best milk for him.
The last one got me by surprise, there's nothing wrong wit the human body or anything it just wasn't exactly what I signed up for when I went onto this post so... Slightly odd for me lol
Mr sure about whatever is around the babies neck in the tub... Scary! What if it choked him? Or he slips out of it? Otherwise, these were all beautiful photos :)
The photos are beautiful. The last one really cracked me up. I remember those days.
Am I the only one who noticed the child breastfeeding that's way to old? Creeppy
What is creepy is that it bothers you. Who the hell are you to be so judgemental?
Load More Replies...That last photo had nothing to do with the bond between the baby and the bulldog which is what the article protrays itself to be about. Totally unnecessary.
what the hell did that last part even have to do with this story, I don't know shock value maybe, whatever it didn't belong in this story, which was a great story .
Nothing wrong with the last pic but it had absolutely nothing to do with the story line....maybe she just likes to show off boobs !!
Please reply. Litterly trying to get the most comments for the Guinness book of world records
I should remember to look at these photos every morning, it is such a sweet way to start the day.
The most unusual scenes with two very different species and the commaraderie is the loving, tenderness ever. Thank you for showing it.
Why is floaty around the baby's neck in the bath pic? That seems safe.
Could have done without that last pic. This is great until Dilan turns 10 and his brother has to be put down.
I think you have right Mina Gold. Boy on the left side when you looking on the photos, is too big, to be breastfed. maybe mom is happy, but when a child is in this age she should cut umbilical cord.
Can't take the writing seriously... Grammar error from the first word! Dog's are...?
