An Old Rocking Chair Met The Danish Artist Sinnet Tiwaz And It Was Never The Same.
I have never thought about painting on furniture. Why should I? I love to paint on canvas and my art gallery is stuffed with my beloved art. But someday a family entered my art gallery in Tranekaer on the Danish island Langeland. They were very enthusiastic about my art. They stayed for a long time and they bought some posters and pictures and I was greatfull. The nex day the farther of the family, a retired airline pilot, came back with an old rocking chair. My first thought was: Why does he bring a very old worn rocking chair to my art gallery? I don’t sell furniture and I have no intention to start a furniture store. But he told me that he was excited about my way of painting, so he asked me to paint his old rocking chair just the way I wanted it to be. There were no restrictions. Wow, I love that. So I did.
