Albino Twins From Brazil Are Taking The Fashion Industry By Storm With Their Unique Beauty
Lara and Mara Bawar are not your average photo models, but their striking appearance is sending shockwaves through the fashion industry. The 11-year-old twin girls from São Paulo, Brazil, have albinism, a condition that causes a lack of skin and hair pigment, and they embrace their unconventional beauty to the fullest.
In 2016, the Bawar albino twins‘ unique pale features caught the eye of Swiss photographer Vinicius Terranova, who now lives in São Paulo. As a personal project now known as Flores Raras (“rare flowers”), Terranova photographed the beautiful girls – as well as their older sister, Sheila, who does not have albinism – to showcase how truly stunning diversity can be. Lara, Mara, and Sheila have since been signed to model for Nike, Insanis, and Bazaar Kids, not to mention the fact that they’ve also bagged almost 6000 Instagram followers.
Check out the fabulous albino model family below: just remember to pick your jaw back up off the floor when you’re done with these beautiful photos.

Why aren't their eyes open / showing in any of the photos? Only little slits - never looking into the camera? Just curious.
possibly because the bright light of the camera flash is painful. Their eyes would be extremely sensitive to light without the protection of the pigmentation that we have.
Load More Replies...Sheila is gorgeous! The young girls are beautiful, but Sheila is a very special kind of beauty. Good for them. I hope their parents are very protective.
Yes, she looks much prettier than her younger sisters but she is not rare, so she only gets to be there for contrast. This is all a bit dumb...
Load More Replies...This is the only place on the web i have seen this. No, they are not taking the internet by storm...
Oh my gosh, I am so glad I'm not the only one who thought that! Totally reminded me of them.
Load More Replies...Stunning girls! I like the dimmer pix because the twins can keep their eyes open longer. Lack of pigment can sometimes cause discomfort in bright light. They are all lovely.
This is what we need more of... all colors are beautiful! Loved the photo of the twins with their older sister, who is not albino. What color are the twins eyes? They mentioned that they "loved their eye color..." but it is not stated. I'm sure the money they are making is most appreciated by the entire family, and hope someone is looking out for them on the photo shoots. At their young age, I imagine they are being well-cared for, especially by this wonderful photographer who started taking their photos because he cared. Not for the money. Hope it stays that way.
My God they are so beautiful, ALL 3 of them! I hope the fashion industry doesn't tarnish their beauty :(. Beauty is more than skin deep and the life of being a model or actor, musician, etc sometimes steals the beauty from people.
The photos are beautiful, but I have concerns for the girls' futures. What, if any, physical problems do they have? I notice that their eyes were often closed. Do they have normal eyesight and are they receiving educational opportunities that will prepare them for life experiences once the uniqueness of their pale beauty is no longer bringing in the money?
They are gorgeous, without a doubt, but why no shots with their eyes open? I saw only one photo where one of them had her eyes open, just a crack. Perhaps their eyes are especially sensitive due to their condition?
Yeah, it is because of their albimism- they don't have enough eye pigment to protect their eyes from bright lights
Load More Replies...You can see the crossed eye in photo number 2, the twin on the left. I expect this is why he had them lower their eyelids in the pics.
They are ALL beautiful! What adds to their ethereal beauty is their flawless skin!
Definitely, they are gorgeous! I totally agree with that! Both look amazing and stunning!
You are all stunningly beautiful but remember outside beauty fades but the inside is what counts.Bless you all.
Sheila is beautiful, the Twins attract attention but you will see their real beauty as they mature! I pray The Sisters are not exploited. Praying for their whole Family and that their Parents are righteously guided.
These girls are uniquely beautiful, I can't think of a stronger word for it, but I really wish I could meet them...
Beautiful! Special. They need fashionable clothes https://gearrelapse.com

The three of them are absolutely lovely together. They are so amazingly beautiful!
They are gorgeous, without a doubt, but why no shots with their eyes open? I saw only one where her eyes were barely open...just a slit.
They are absolutely gorgeous!!! Love :) :). I'm partial albino and Italian. It makes me proud to see this lovely story. Love that they have their beautiful older sister involved too :)
Beautiful! But I also agree with Cuddles, these girls should have a childhood before they become models x
Exploitation of children i the fashion industry is not cool. We xo not need to steal childhood for trivia.
.....They are just soooo ~~~~ d r e a m y ..... They are all just glowing with Happiness
Am I a d**k or do they genuinely look like the twins from the Matrix
I wish there was a photo that captured their eye colour. They are quite strikingly beautiful.
Gorgeous. Most albinos are cross-eyed. If you look very closely, one albino twin is indeed cross-eyed. Look carefully.
People with Albinism do not have crossed eyes we have nystagmus that is a involuntary movement of oureyes that's why our eyes always move from side to side very fast and we are very sensitive to light
Load More Replies...They're stunning, and I love the pictures. I understand that they stand out in Brazil because albinism is unusual there. But I wonder if modelling agencies have considered going to Mozambique to offer the same opportunities to the many albinos there.
Why do they always have their eyes closed. I didn't really notice till I read this quote, “We feel albinism is pretty, we love our hair, eye colour and skin tone.”
Can you please explain what a typical African is you typical racist? How does it feel to be typically ignorant as well
Load More Replies...they're 11. who the hell would want to put makeup on 11 year old girls.
Load More Replies...It may simply be the choice of the pictures for the article that is poor.
