Pregnant Cat Is Abandoned In Woodlands, But Is Found By A Dog Walker And Gives Birth To Two Healthy Kittens
While the whole world is still fighting the invisible enemy COVID-19, there are some who have fights of their own. These are abandoned animals, who, in the face of the crisis, are often forgotten. On March 11, a pregnant cat along with two other cats was dumped in a cardboard box in the woodlands to fight for her and her kittens’ lives.
The three cats were found in the woodlands in Cuxton by a woman who was walking her dog in the morning. She took them to a nearby RSPCA center, where they were all checked. The medical checkup showed that one of the cats was heavily pregnant. “It must have been very frightening for them to have been left this way. We understand that people’s circumstances change, but there’s never an excuse to abandon animals like this,” says Kirsten Ormerod from RSPCA to Bored Panda.
The good news is that the pregnant cat named Maude was given proper medical care and gave birth to two healthy kittens. In a recent Facebook post, RSPCA shared that “Maude and her kittens have gone on to live their dream lives” and found their forever homes. We’re glad that even though the start of their lives might have been rough, they have now found loving families!

Share on FacebookI love her little checkerboard face! And all of those cats are adorable. And the tiny orange tabby! So cute :)
Her little face is perfect! As you say, they are all adorable. Unlike grotty people. 🤬
Load More Replies...I want the abandonment of animals to be added to the definition of animal abuse and I want animal abuse to have severe repercussions, starting with heavy fines and a ban on pet-owning, and prison terms at the extreme end.
The UK has an Abandonment Act. It is an offence for the owner, or any person having charge or control of an animal, to abandon it, whether permanently or not, in circumstances likely to cause it any unnecessary suffering. Unfortunately, the problem is usually catching the evil bastards.

Very happy that the beautiful cats were found and looked after. Anything could of happened to them if they were not found.
Many thanks to the lady that found these kitties + took them to the RSPCA so they can find their forever homes. :)
Whoever dumped poor Maude never loved her in the first place. Circumstances may change, but your love for your pet should not. Last week, one of my indoor kitties took off out the front door whilst I was taking out the rubbish. I recruited friends and family to help look for her. I barely slept that night due to high anxiety. I put up a post on my local SPCA website. Fortunately, she found her way home 25 hours later. It was probably the worst 25 hours of my life. So, having said that, I stand by my opening statement. I am very glad that Maude and her kittens have found their forever homes.
That sounds like my own version of hell -- losing my cat and not knowing if he's okay -- so glad everything turned out okay
Load More Replies...Beautiful cats, all of them. It's sad to think that there's people out there who would rather dump them in a cardboard box in the woods than just take them to a shelter, if they can't take care of them anymore.
No joke, this is the stuff that keeps me awake at night...thank god some one found them.... 🐾 💘
I hate people that dump their pets when they feel they no longer want them. But on a happier note, I have been feeding a feral momma and her 3 kittens that I found out by my shed, had to put some flea medicine in their food so they didn't spend all their time scratching. Kittens now run and play with each other and the mom doesn't have to scavenge trash cans for food. It's only been a week but they all look healthier now.
I have three cats ExaCTLY like them ! A tortoiseshell gorl Ukiyo and two handsome black bois - Arctus and Furvus. They wish the very best for their twin family ( ◜‿◝ )♡
Its disgraceful to dump these cats if you cannot afford them dont have them simple. We lost our little girl 3wks ago and I cannot understand people it broke our hearts had her 10yrs 4 months miss her like crazy. How people can be so cruel get them neutered or spayed. So glad they got their forever home
Thank you kind person that brought Maude and her friends to a place that would make sure that they would get to live their lives out in comfort and love.
