I’m A Young Self-Taught Photographer Who Creates Images Based On My Imaginary World

I’m Michaela Stahlova, 20-year-old self-taught fine art photographer from Czech Republic.

I started taking self portraits when I started my 365 project back in 2015. I did a first month and then paused my project because of school. Now I decided to continue where I ended and complete this project.

The reason why I started 365 was mainly because I was struggling with social anxiety and very low self esteem. So I picked up my camera which immediately became my best friend.

I would classify my photographs with words imaginative, whimsical, dark beauty, surreal, dreamy and conceptual. Of course they’re manipulated in Photoshop.

I think I finally found the best medium how to express myself, my thoughts and feelings and I’m willing to learn and gain new experience while doing my 365 project so I can make living out of this.
