My tribute to Willy Wonka and Gene Wilder. I thought it would be fun to create something with real candy and perhaps a chalk art piece would be unique.

Part of me thought it a waste to put so much time and effort into something that was just going to melt in the rain, but I have a feeling Willy Wonka would approve of something just that crazy.

The ants thought this was a great piece too and I had to spray it down with peppermint to keep them away. They especially liked the red hots. I especially liked eating the Willy Wonka Sprees while I created his shirt design with them. And I got my husband to create an everlasting gobstopper!

A fun project filled with all kinds of childhood memories. Including a pic of The King and Mary Poppins too.
