One Of My First Paintings! Almost Took Me A Year To Finish It, But It Was Worth Every Second
My Artwork is very World based since I grew up all over the World seeing every Country as my Home! The experiences I’ve made while traveling are projected in my Art. Studying Graphic-Design a few years ago started to feel wrong at the point when i realized that a lot of what Graphic-Designers do is to Manipulate, but I wanted to stimulate thoughts in a good way. Thats when Buttafly was born! My Name is Vanessa, which is a Butterfly and there is a saying that the flap of a butterfly’s wings in Brazil can set off a tornado in Texas. Seeing my Art as my Wings I’m trying to set off my own tornado in form of love and awareness towards each other.
This Painting was one of my first. I started it 2012 and it took me almost a year to finish! I used different color types such as acrylic, oil, watercolor, markers and colored ink. The painting is on a 60cm x 80cm (23,6″ x 31,5″) canvas, which is made of recycled material.
Our Eyes show feelings such as being scared, happy or surprised. They let us notice whats going on in our Environment, therefore our eyes also influence our mood. The World reflected in the Eye symbolizes what every individual feels when thinking about our Earth.
Pretty much all of my paintings are very loud when it comes to the colors, this is because i want to bring as many emotions in my paintings as possible!
