I don't think there's not much we can do about it but there's nothing wrong with stating a fact. Someone who didn't know may have benefited.

Yes, I will vouch for India and its care for animals in general. Indians revere other species more than most other cultures. In Delhi, where people are very poor, and many live on the streets, you rarely see a thin dog. Europeans are far more horrible to strays than Indians.

Dogs are looked after in Goa, but not in other parts of India.

Nonsense! During the great famines of the 1940s and 50s perhaps Chinese people ate dogs to avoid starvation. Have you ever been in that situation?
