Ani Castillo immigrated to Canada a couple of weeks before her homeland became a drug-related battleground.

Once in her new country, she had to face comments about her beloved country where people described Mexicans as criminals and drug-dealers.

In her heart, she knew that Mexico was not only home to evil and lazy people, but to loving mothers, fathers, doctors, psychotherapists, athletes, artists and just an endless ocean of beautiful human wealth.

Through these cartoons, Ani Castillo is working to offer support and empathy towards Mexican and Muslim people, that are being treated unfairly by the new U.S. government.

"We Are All Worthy" she writes.

We are.
