Hi, my name is Anna Węcel and I am a photographer from Poznań, Poland. My work focuses on children and families. Beside my commercial work I photograph my 5 year old daughter, who inspires me every day.

Creating whole sceneries for her is something that gives me energy to life. We are both having fun, and after shooting we choose the best photos to create an album.

I think the most challenging thing in children photography is to capture the real character and soul of the child to create a living photo. Therefore it is really important to get involved with the child to create the perfect pic of him/her. As most of girls in her age, my daughter loves Disney characters, and being a princess, but I managed also to convince her for some non Disney sceneries like: pin up girl, Scarlett O’Hara etc.

Most of the costumes are made by my mother who helps me a lot and creates stunning dresses for her grand daughter.  Later on I can use those costumes for my commercial sessions with the Clients. Some of my best work is created in autumn, thanks to the golden colors and a misty weather adding a perfect magical atmosphere, which makes the portrait stand out even more.
