There is nothing better than taking a walk outside, in the forest, and enjoy the colors and the smells of Autumn! Living where I live was an inspiration by default, for this collection of images. Grevena, Greece is awarded the title “The City of Mushrooms” because of the large quantities and especially the excellent quality of mushrooms that are everywhere this period of the year.
Being an amateur photographer I enjoy taking photos in my free time. Mushrooms are one of the most beloved themes for me. Not just because they are delicious, if you know which ones to collect, but also because they have their unique ways to “strike a pose” for my shots!
So many times I caught myself imagining “stories” when focusing my lens on the mushrooms that I find. So I decided to share some of them with you, with this little photo-collection.
Last but not least, a piece of advice directly from the masters of collecting mushrooms: “all mushrooms are edible, but some you can eat only once”… Do not collect or consume any mushrooms that you are not 100% certain that are edible!
