The Puffer fish is probably the greatest creature on Earth. They’re poisonous, they have incredibly elaborate mating rituals and dolphins use them to get high (seriously).

So, naturally, independent online retailer Firebox has launched a project to help raise funding for their latest creation – Giant Pufferfish Slippers. And they’re adorable.

After months of design tweaks and prototypes, this elegant, hand-stitched footwear puts your boring old slippers to shame. They’re huge, and feature a cute facial expression full of hope and longing. Their fins playfully flap as you walk, and you’re in no danger of ingesting any poisonous Fugu.
