40 years after leaving his old ’67 Ford Anglia (his first car) to rot in the forests behind his birth home in Eastern Finland, Redditor Deletraz’s father returned to the place where its engine finally failed completely to see if it was still there. It was.

The charming photo shows the charming compact sedan’s headlights peeking out almost playfully from under a heavy carpet of moss growing on its hood. It kind of reminds us of this Belgian vintage automobile graveyard!

Deletrez explained that the car’s engine had failed because water from the radiator had gotten into the vehicle’s cooling channels and when it froze there, it cracked the engine block. The nights there can reach temperatures of -5 F (-20 C).
