On the 4th of July a clinging to life Boston Terrier, who was living under the “care” a breeder, was brought into a Pennsylvania veterinary hospital. His condition was devastating. The pup was so weak he couldn’t stand, he was emaciated, dehydrated, limp, and worst of all, his skin was so maggot-infested he gave off a rotting smell… Doctors said the terrier needed a miracle to survive. Now, three weeks later, we’re happy to tell you that the pup has beaten the odds.

The pup, who’s name is Libre (which means freedom), is now doing much better. He’s well enough to take a walk, and he’s happier than ever, engaging and exploring the world for the first time.  The best part? Next week Libre will be able to go home with his foster mom Janine Guido, who helped rescue him. You can keep up with his recovery on the Dillsburg Veterinary Centre’s Facebook page.
