Recently, the US celebrated National Zookeeper Week - and a zoo in Minnesota decided to get super creative. They made a photoshoot with zookeepers pretending to be animals. With this project they're asking the public whether or not animals and their care takers start bearing resemblance over time...
The 'Human Zoo' shows a zookeeper named Cathy 'resembling' Tia, the white-cheeked gibbon ape. Then, two other zookepers pretending to be a couple of large tortoises enjoying their lunch. Jeez, we even see a lady dressed as a seal and a man pretending to be a caterpillar.
Maybe we're not that different from the animals after all!

Aaaaahhhh I wish I could work in a Zoo, but we don't have one in Tijuana....😞
Pictures 15 and 16 are the best! Now I wish I couldn't find any zoological job except a zookeeper! :D
OMG,if any keepers at Seneca Park Zoo are reading this,I KNEW we weren't the only crazy zookeepers on the planet!!!! This is AWESOME!!!!
I'm obviously one of those people that understands if some animals belong to endangered species, like pandas, and they need help with mating etc or they are just injured and need a safe place for recovery and I support stuff like that but beside that its mostly just for showing animals an making money cause I d
You are obviously one of those people who just want animals to be free instead of realizing it's not always the best thing. Many of them lost their original habitat or have such small populations that they need help. And just think about it: If you were the animal and you had a choice what would you prefer? Living like a wild man constantly searching for food, water and other mates, plus, defending territory from predators and unfriendly people, or living in a lovely all-inclusive hotel with nice clean room, beautiful boys and chatty friendly girls? I think you got the point. It's like some kind of a deal. Humans basically said to the animals: "Look, we give you this territory, it's much smaller than what you could have, but why would you need a bigger territory when we found a lovely place for you, it's got food, water and mates provided in much smaller and comfy space! You just defend it and don't go anywhere!" Some got the chance to escape, yet preferred to stay in their cage. Hm.
