And there’s an Instagram account loved by 1 million followers that collects the best of the bottom worst houses, objects, and architectural wonders found on Zillow. Welcome to “Zillow Gone Wild,” the internet’s home of no taste and abundance of money.

Previously, we talked to the creator behind the internet-famous “Zillow Gone Wild” Instagram page, who preferred to stay anonymous. The idea for the account came after they spotted too many crazy houses being featured on Zillow. The Instagrammer said it was things “like homes with bowling alleys, indoor pools, jail cells, and one particular home had a mining shaft,” that caught their eye and took the listing craziness to new heights.

According to the author of “Zillow Gone Wild,” these out-of-the-box house designs are the product of people with a “combination of taste and money.” The Instagrammer also confessed to being honestly surprised at “how many people have built actual castles and how many insanely large mansions there are in places like Utah and Ohio.”

Such a pity - all that hard work in the masonry, and they destroy the defensive properties with all those windows.
I would love to live in this house, especially if you could put in a working drawbridge
If you think like a real estate agent where if you can stick a desk "potential office space", take a door off a wardrobe "potential for study", space under a stair case where they put a door "walk in linen closet" it is not hard for them to describe anything with a sink as a "bathroom". I was thinking ensuite for each bedroom so there's 10 off the bat. One in or next to a laundry, near the front door "powder room", one or a separate toilet and then showering area near the gym would get called 2 bathrooms in RE world so not hard to get to 19. Whether they are actually what people would call a full bathroom is another matter entirely

As someone who likes the natural, "less is more" design I have to say, awesome outside but inside... Not so much.
Eh, some or them are also ugly and gaudy on the outside.

It engages me that some people are able and willing to spend so much money on so much unnecessary space and luxury while others struggle to be sheltered at all.
Sometimes, I click certain filters that make me feel A LOT richer than I actually am. Like I have no right to decide whether I want a shower or tub in my 9th bathroom.
A lot of these people need to fire their interior designers and couple of them might even need to do the same to the architects. And for the love of god, stop with the trophy hunting people- its super cruel and it looks super weird in your house.
There are an awful lot of architects and interior designers taking the piss out of these dumb nouveau riche 'emperors'
