These 50 Pics Of Celebrities Hanging Out With Their Younger Selves Show How Aging Changes Even The Stars
Imagine if you could go back in time and meet your younger, wilder self? What words of advice would you have? Dutch artist Ard Gelinck hasn't invented the time machine just yet, but his brilliantly photoshopped images of iconic people and their younger versions might just be the next best thing.
The seemingly posed photographs depict celebrities such as Freddy Mercury, Tom Hanks and Madonna side by side in before-and-after versions of themselves, looking for all the world like best buddies hanging out and having a great time together. Recently watched a re-run on UK TV of an episode of 'The Love Boat' from 1979 in which Tom Hanks was a guest star. He looked exactly like the picture on the right.
His son looks more like this older version of his. Genes are strange. :)
Such sweetness of disposition showed through from the very beginning. Have to love this man. And we did, from Bosom Buddies to the present.
I had the pleasure of working in a movie (NEWS OF THE WORLD) with him and he is truly one the kindest, most personable, and talented actors anywhere in the world! Just as nice as he seems!
This would be a great pic to advertise for a "Big" part 2 if it could ever be done. Think about it- 'when Josh Baskin's was 12 he made a wish to be big,,,,now his son all grown up, finds the same Zoltar machine and it happens all over again.' It's been so long since the firat Big, a second one would be awesome.
Id love somebody ask him if was ever mistaken by a prankster over the phone and got hung up like it happened for "big fat greek wedding" production call. "Tom Hanks' wife, Rita Wilson, saw the play and recommended that her husband produce a movie version. In an interview with the German magazine "Cinema," Nia Vardalos mentioned that she hung up when Hanks called because she did not believe it was really him."

I really love what this photog has done, but it would have been so much more impressive if the "current" photos actually were. Most of the pics of the "today" stars seem to be at LEAST 10 years old.
So many of the threads go on too long, this wasn't long enough. These are so wonderfully done. And yes, I'm attached to too many of these performers.
Nothing against Ziggy, but I would've liked to have seen the contrast between an older Bowie with The Thin White Duke.
These are really well done, and oh my, you can really tell who has had cosmetic surgery, and who has allowed themselves to age gracefully, can't you?! Personally, I think 'natural' is the way to go, but not 'let yourself go'!

Some have aged very well some not so well. Knowing the story behind her breasts, for #15, Christina Applegate, it is just all the more sad.
