Imagine if you could go back in time and meet your younger, wilder self? What words of advice would you have? Dutch artist Ard Gelinck hasn't invented the time machine just yet, but his brilliantly photoshopped images of iconic people and their younger versions might just be the next best thing.
The seemingly posed photographs depict celebrities such as Freddy Mercury, Tom Hanks and Madonna side by side in before-and-after versions of themselves, looking for all the world like best buddies hanging out and having a great time together. They should have used a photo for the young adult before he had any cosmetic surgery done. The album "Off the Wall" would be when a good picture would be great.. He was born with a much different nose (see in the youngest version)

What do you mean by creepy? What's creepy about the conversation that is being had by people that all have their own opinions? What's creepy about that? Or, is it because you're too young to understand the conversation that's taking place? That would make sense. You don't know about the child molesting cases filed against him. Never proven. And, I don't think you have any idea what an Icon he really was. And, his music was nothing short of brilliant! He wrote from his heart and the very depth of his soul!

He had a disease that slowly took the pigment from his skin. He had it on his hands, really bad. I’m sure he had it on his face too. I guess it was everywhere, but we didn’t see it.

This man had vitiligo, which was proven in his autopsy. He opted for plastic surgery and/or make-up to hide the effects of this condition, probably because in that day he had no reason to expect that people would understand. He was right. :(

Your attitude sucks! Who appointed you Judge, Jury and Executioner? He was one of the most tortured souls in that time! I don’t think he ever got over his father’s beatings, or the fact that he would starve his kids, torturing Michal and his siblings, physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. Joe Jackson was one of the worst child abusers of his time, and Michael had a tortured soul to the day he died!

I really love what this photog has done, but it would have been so much more impressive if the "current" photos actually were. Most of the pics of the "today" stars seem to be at LEAST 10 years old.
So many of the threads go on too long, this wasn't long enough. These are so wonderfully done. And yes, I'm attached to too many of these performers.
Nothing against Ziggy, but I would've liked to have seen the contrast between an older Bowie with The Thin White Duke.
These are really well done, and oh my, you can really tell who has had cosmetic surgery, and who has allowed themselves to age gracefully, can't you?! Personally, I think 'natural' is the way to go, but not 'let yourself go'!
