There was this huge deal a few years back in California with 'nature loving/concious' Influencers going out to the huge poppy blooms for pics. They swore they never went off the paths, but pictures proved other wise. A lot of them were called out for destroying the nature they claimed to love, but most denied it. Gotta look good for the 'gram, no matter the cost.

Took me a minute-- it's that she's killing all the pretty flowers she came to admire. Kinda like Indiana Jones ALWAYS destroys the beautiful, historical artifacts from ancient civilizations that he's searched for to admire.

It's the irony of it all. She " loves nature " yet in the 2nd picture her feet are trampling the plants and flowers.

Dang people. Lol It's about how face value isn't always the truth. She's presenting the image of being about nature, and she's trampling nature to make that image. It's not about Influencers or killing poppy fields. This is a point that can be applied to any situation where someone is wanting to present an image and runs over things or people to get that image. Politics, religion, steel mills, counties, car companies, you can literally apply this to everything.

I admit that I didn't get it either. It seems like a better one that would be more widely understood would be showing people with cut flowers in their home and the severed stems in the field. But then, no one seems to care about that, because everyone seems to like cut flowers in their home.

Sharp stones, uneven ground, etc... What they are not making an attempt to show is the ticks, leeches, chiggers, etc. that live in the tall grass just waiting for some silly warm-blood to wander by and announce that the buffet is open! lol

Yeah man...we would watch from a distance and be kind, while others wanna "be the flower"
