With so many discussions about why women don't choose to work in male-dominated fields, one reason often gets overlooked. Frequently women who end up working a job surrounded only by men experience all sorts of diminishing behavior from their colleagues. The lack of respect, harassment, and blatant sexism hold women back from taking jobs in any male-dominated industry. Recently a Twitter user asked women to share their experiences while working only with men. This thread perfectly highlights the problem women face while trying their strengths in 'boys club' workplaces. Scroll below to read them!

reminds me of when this guy Aric was stalking and sexually harassing my friend, taking pictures of her in our school courtyard, etc. Aric tried to pay a guy to take pictures for him, but the other guy was my friend's friend so he just pocketed the money and bought like $50 worth of chic-fil-a. iconic.

So instead of doing something about it and standing up for his harrassed friend, he pretended he was also a f****n creep and just kept the money, he is as bad as the guy paying him.

mcbutt/emilymccutie and the photo shows her with a sassy, a*s-first pose. I think there's more to this story if a dude dropped $200 on her after many messages. I'd like to hear his side of the story before I cast judgement. For anyone who downvotes this (and I'm sure it'll happen): passing ultimate judgement before having all the facts is morally bankrupt.

Down voted... even with your whiny claim that it makes me morally bankrupt. I like how you said you want to hear the other side before you cast judgement. You already have judged her, does that make you morally bankrupt? F**k off, you are even worse than those you are calling out. I hope she enjoyed those gift cards and left a stupid big tip because she thought the server was cute... just so you can judge her some more and act like you are better than everyone.

So a guy makes a tackless advance and you don't have the wherewithal to reject him there and then, telling him you have a boyfriend, bringing an end to a misplaced advance?(what normal people do) Instead you say nothing, let him run with it, take his gift, complain to your manager and then use aforesaid present for yourself? Its a shame feminism and female empowerment is lost on generation snowflake.

What? He didn't make an advance, he gave her a damn birthday present and then demanded to get it back when he learned she had a boyfriend

If the guy was polite and flirting...i dont see why this case is in any way sexist. On top of that as you made him aware you are with someone when he gave you the vouchers....you should have returned them to him before he even asked for them. Using the vouchers just proved you took advantage of him.

He wasn't "flirting" he was stalking her. There's a difference that you don't seem to understand - or that you don't want to understand. The gift cards were a GIFT. She "owes" him nothing. She's not a prostitute.

Damned if you do and damned if you don't. When Feminism first reared its ugly head, my daily wish was that all men in the world would ignore their biological urges to seek out women and just ignore them. After reading these c**p tweets and comments I'm going to start wishing that twice a day. You women think that you are all around special creatures. That makes you the chauvinists, not the men that desire you. Don't believe me. Pick up a men's magazine. It's full of women. Pick up a women's magazine. It's full of women. So which sex is demonstrably chauvinistic. Go into the average department store or pharmacy. Which department is the largest and at the front of the stores. Women's clothing, makeup and jewelry. What does that tell you. With regard to the coming vitriol in responses, I don't care. I've had girlfriends, been married to a woman for 48 years and don't live on a deserted island. I see how women all around me behave. Instead of trying to fix men, work on yourselves!

Wow. Where do I even start? A lot of women echo your 'daily wish' buddy. I actually pity you, having that view, but my anger out-weights my pity so I'll just suggest that you find a nice quiet corner and play hide-and-go-f**k-yourself.

It isn't always the men. I was standing at a yardage counter with several other women. A man walked in behind us. The female clerk looked right over our heads and asked how she could help him. Nice to feel invisible.

You have to be careful. I was working at Chase when they hired on a guy I had worked with previously. He was let go from his former job for pulling a chef's knife out of his briefcase and coming at someone. I went to HR. But because there was no absolute proof, they told me I couldn't warn people. I could get fired for that. I left an anonymous note in his bosses mailbox. Risked my job to warn him, but it seemed like a good risk / reward at the time.

I was in school in 7th grade and this (a*****e, sexist, etc) guy repeated the same thing that my (female) friend said, and the teacher said what a great idea it was. I raised my hand and said "Cristina actually said that first." The teacher told me to not disrespect her classroom.

A male coworker called me bossy.. I told him he wouldn't call me bossy if I had a penis. That made the boys in the room super uncomfortable and I basked in that discomfort.

You should have done as he asked and let him talk to a man who could not schedule an appointment.
