World Leaders Are People Too: Artist Shows Them Doing Their “Duty”
Given all the hefty decisions that today’s world leaders often have to grapple with on a daily basis, it can be easy to forget that they’re people too. Italy-based artist Cristina Guggeri, however, hasn’t forgotten, and she’s out to remind the rest of us with a series of images called Il Dovere Quotidiano, or “The Daily Duty,” that humanize some of the world’s most famous leaders by imagining what they might look like when they answer nature’s call.

We need some with celebs. Nobody is untouchable, people shouldn't idolize anyone & realize that underneath it all - everyone's just human.

The art work is splendid. Not offensive at all. Reminds me of the time I found out that my teacher did indeed use the bathroom too.

It's more gotcha than art. Greater artists shout when they whisper. Lesser artist shout when they should whisper.

The whole thing is distasteful. Why would the artist think we'd want to see this? Is nothing sacred anymore? This is not art, this is crass.
Leaders are people too, yes. So, they are entitled to their rights and all those dignity. Did they explicitly allow this kind of depiction?
I find it extremely unnerving that the toilet seat appears to be missing for many. I keep waiting for them to fall in.... :-P

While I get that it's an attempt to humanize powerful leaders, it trivializes them, reducing them to the crudest lowest common denominator.
