Woman Realizes A Guy Is Taking A Pic Of Her Address On Her Dog’s Collar, Not Her Dog, Shares How Her Quick Thinking Saved Her
Since the tragic disappearance of Sarah Everard in the UK this month, street safety and putting an end to harassment has been on everyone’s minds recently. So much so that women everywhere have been speaking out about the times that they didn’t feel safe and what they constantly do to stay safe in public.
One of those women is TikTok user Hesheybae (aka actor Shey Greyson), who uploaded a series of videos detailing how her quick thinking may have saved her from a gruesome fate one time. When a man asked to take her picture, she thought nothing of it. At first. However, she soon realized that he might have more nefarious purposes. Scroll down below to get her full story and to read the stories of the women she inspired to open up about.
Shey Greyson spoke about the importance of quick thinking when it comes to staying safe in public

In an earlier interview with Bored Panda, Jorge Arteaga from ‘Hollaback!’ told us what men can do to make sure that women feel safer on the streets.
“Check yourself, your friends, family, everyone. Anytime they make abhorrent comments like ‘she was looking for it, or she shouldn’t have walked down that street or worn that dress, she should’ve walked with friends.’ Harassment, physical violence, or sexual assault are all horrible occurrences, and there is no justification for it,” he said.
“Stop normalizing harassment and violence toward women (in the most intersectional expression possible). Hold your friends accountable for those inappropriate jokes or comments when it’s just the ‘guys.’ The next time a woman denies your or your friend’s advances, do not be persistent,” Arteaga gave advice to men everywhere.
Another woman shared how she tricked a creepy guy by asking him to check if a car was her Uber

Hesheybae realized that the guy was taking a close-up photo of her dog’s collar which had an address on it. She asked the man to delete the photo which he did and that should’ve been the end of it. However, the woman then asked him to go into his iPhone’s ‘deleted album’ and delete it from there, too.
The man was… less than cooperative to put it lightly. He claimed that there was no such thing as a ‘deleted album’ on his phone. The TikToker chased after him until he finally said ‘fine,’ and deleted the picture from the album. Or so he claimed!
As it turned out, he was lying. When the woman asked him to show proof that he in fact deleted the picture, he started acting cagey. It was only when she said that she won’t stop asking until he does so that he showed her the album. And what do you know? The picture was still there.
Hesheybae vocalized what we’re all thinking: what would’ve happened if she hadn’t realized that the man was taking a photo of her address on her dog’s collar? And what would’ve happened if she hadn’t insisted that he delete it?
Here’s how some people responded to the videos. Some of them even shared similar stories of their own, proving these aren’t one-off cases
Have you ever had a similar creepy encounter like the ones these women spoke about? What do you do to stay safe in public? Share your thoughts in the comments below, dear Readers.
I was at an intersection waiting for some friends in broad daylight in a "good part of town". There weren't any people nearby, but plenty of cars whizzing through the intersection. Two men sat down on the curb behind me and started talking in graphic detail about how they were going to drag me into a nearby empty parking garage and take turns raping me. The scariest thing? I realized in that moment how alone I was even though there were literally people everywhere. What do I do? Try to pull my phone out to call 911? There's two of them. They'd stop me before I got a call off, and even if I did, no one would get there in time. Do I scream? The only people not in cars were diagonally opposite this massive and massively busy intersection. I didn't have a walk signal, so do I just run into traffic and pray the driver looking at his cell phone sees me in time? Fortunately, my friends showed up almost immediately, but still...
Here in the UK we have what's called a Silent Solution, where if you can't speak when we dial 999, (our version of your 911), we dial 55 when promoted if we can't speak. That still must've been scary as hell for you, its says a lot about their upbringing and life experiences to that point in their lives.
Load More Replies...You never, never ever, write your address on ANYTHING that is visible to strangers. The keys is just the most stupid place, but all the other ones ... a phone number may be ok. Depends - I'm male and therefore not in much fear, so if you'd, like, find my phone, there's my home telephone number inside, and the promise that I'd give a reward to the finder of my good old Nokia.
Here in the UK it's a legal requirement for dogs to have the owner's name and address on their collar if in a public place.
Load More Replies...Unfortunately the delete is not a fool proof way to handle cases like this. For example Dropbox offers a third party sync service that automatically loads the taken photos to the cloud and local photo album delete won`t remove those.
Yep, I thought she will tell him it's her buddies dog, how that guy wouldn't want a picture of his dog etc

Did you not get hugged enough? Who f*****g hurt you so bad that you have to grow up and be a total piece of s**t? I just don't get it. Also please note I know not ALL men are bad. Some of my favorite men are men. I get it. But damn this dude just blows my mind. I would've tried to see if there were any other pictures on his phone of other peoples "pets" smh
Because women who are crazy don't use tactics like this to be crazy. The average women isn't able to overpower the average man if there's a physical altercation, so you don't hear about the same stuff. I'm not saying that crazy women don't exist though, they definitely do

I once took a dog who was following me to my own vet clinic. He didn't have a collar, but I recognized the first three letters of his ear tattoo, which at the time was a coded reference to the clinic that neutered him. Those coded tattoos have since given way to microchips, but back then each clinic in town had it's own code.
My parent's have the phone number of their dog's vet on the collar, and there's no name on the collar tag either, this way, nobody can repeat her name and say that the dog is actually theirs instead. Just to let you know, this was the vet's idea.
For items like dog tags, cameras, keys, etc. that have personal info ( address, tel. #,...) just put a piece of blue painter's tape across it. The tape does no harm and is easily removed. The info is not visible to sight or camera but easily removed if some one needs to call about your lost pet or item.
Back around the year 2004 I contacted Verizon to get my cell phone bill automatically paid through my bank account. The operator started chatting about football while we waited for the computer to get it set, I thought he was just being friendly so I chatted with him. Just a couple hours later he started calling me. He called day and night, sometimes as late as 2am. Then he started threatening me and said he would kill himself. He took my phone number and entered it into his private phone. After a week I called Verizon to complain and they fired him, didn't even tell me anything. I found out because he called me right after screaming at me, calling me names, cursing and threatening me. He only lived three hours away from me and if he had my phone number I was worried that he also had my address, you give them that information for billing. Verizon did nothing to help and protect me from their employee. I dropped them and never went back and never will.
If that man wanted a picture of my dog, I wouldn't let him anyways except he has to be 6 feet back.
I had to call AAA once because I was out with my mom an she distracted me and I locked my keys in my car. The service truck guy took care of the job n I tipped him $10 for coming out in the rain. I barely got out of the parking lot an he was texting me. He could see I was driving an that I hadn't picked up my phone. It was on a stand on the dash so I could use it for gps. He said answer the text. I'm going to call you now. The phone rang but I let it go. He almost tried to follow me but I lost him in traffic an drove to the AAA office up the road an reported it in person. He was with a company outsourced from them. I think they lost the contract from seeing the time stamps and texts an how fast it happened. Scary.
I've taken to handing the pharmacy my id when picking up prescriptions. Its easier for them to see my name than understand through a mask. Think I'll always do this now.
See, this is even harder for cosplayers, where it's absolutely normal for strangers to ask for pictures of you in your absolutely skimpiest clothes because anime characters wear nothing. I recently put up a rather skimpy cosplay I'm pretty proud of, a show accurate Misty from Pokemon, and some guy decided to just start following me around the internet and liking my rare public posts from 2 years ago. It's a little creepy.
But...why is her address on the collar in plain sight? I always place it in a container attached to the collar, where it's hidden.
My dog managed to lose every single tag, container, etc. Before we switched over to harnesses, he had my phone number on the inside of the collar and a message on the outside of it.
Load More Replies...1} I'll say it again: why do we need stories that are just 30 pics of a face blown up and text underneath? If the message is important, it's fine to see the person behind it but copying 14 screen-size frames of a same face is not fun to have to scroll thru and I don't care to see people's nostrils or the many cute faces they make as they're hamming it up. 2} I was told by a veterinarian to NEVER put your address OR the pet's name on an I'D' tag. For the very reason that if a jerk wants to know where you live, they have that info. Don't put your name, either. A last name and address is about all many need to go hack all your personal info and find a lot about you on social media. Putting your pet's name is the way someone can steal your dog or pet. Knowing what to call it, if they take it or it is lost, will familiarize your pet with this new "owner". Best info to put on a tag - "If I am out I am lost" and a phone number (and REWARD always helps tho most will refuse
Don't put your address on collar!!! Get dog chipped. Put vet name and phone number. If u don't want people hearing address at pharmacy write it down or point to license.
Sorry but putting your full adress on a dog collar instead of just a phone number is incredibly stupid Glad she realized what was going on before she got robbed or raped in her own house
In a lot of countries it's a requirement to write your name, address and phone number on the collar of your dog.

"...he started acting CAGEY"..." Really? Plus, if you have been through a traumatic experience where personal safety is concerned you are not going to recall (especially is more recent) with grins, smirks and a smile. WHY would YOU let some guy take a pic of your dog in the first place? 🤨 Nobody I know would. So they can target stealing your dog? Call authorities and say, "my dog was stolen and I found who did it" (now wouldn't that start some problems that might cost temp. custody of your dog), worse scenarios than that?
Great of her to use her dumb face very sentence otherwise I might actually think for a second this was not a hysterical narcist.
Or maybe you could read further, and learn that it's the law in the UK to have the owner's name and address on the tag.
