Life can get really tough when a Youtube “smokey eyes” make-up tutorial turns you into a raccoon instead of a dazzling beauty. Or when you wake up in the morning looking like Chewbacca (curly Pandas, we feel you). At least we can laugh about it together with Cassandra Calin, a Romanian artist, whose relatable comics about girl problems get straight to the point.
The 21-year-old comic artist and graphic designer, currently based in Montreal, Canada, illustrates all sorts of funny problems that women encounter in their everyday life, ranging from clothing to dating: "I draw funny comics inspired by my life, daily problems, and experiences. I enjoy laughing at my awkward self and the funny situations I get in, and ranting about silly misfortunes such as being born with curly hair."

This was me when I was younger and drew comics. And everytime that stupid question "Is it Youuuu you`re drawing??" Argh!
I was Pocahontas in a show recently, I had to wear dancer's shorts under that costume.
I have straight hair and wanted curly, so I got a perm. I looked more like Roseanna Danna from SNL. Then I cut if off and started all over again with straight short hair, no more perms.
I like the way an artist portraits faces and a palette of emotions.

Yes please, let's turn the set of light humorous sketches into a debate on gender equality, stereotypes and domestic violence because that's what EVERYONE should think about when they come across something posted on website called BoredPanda.

THOSE are not "woman" problems. They are hardly problems at all. Stating those are gender problems trivialize real issues. What a shallow way to depict yourself. Yeah, HAHA funny, but not really tho'

don't like when people posting "difference between genders" stuff. This is what men do this is what women do. It's not DIFFERENCE you're posting it's STEREOTYPES. There is really NO difference between the genders* if you do belive it is, that is because you buy into the stereotype crap. One thing is sure both genders EQUALLY annoys me.
Okay Einstein. Have you recently looked down your pants? There's you gender, which sometimes leads to (normal) everyday problems- which the opposite gender not necessarily experience. Sorry to break the news to you this way- Good luck !

Oh dear. I forgot to add the text: *other than some insignificant biological features. which was supposed to explain why I put a * after genders. And NO your genitals don't always explain the gender, many people are born into the wrong gender such as transgenders. The identification of your gender sits in the brain. And NO there really is no defining difference between man and woman (other than reproductive organs). More and more recent studies suggest the same. There is NO defining trait a woman has that you can't find in a man, and vice versa. So all this do is as I said in the original post only create stereotypes. AND stereotypes that is what creates problems for the genders. It was stereotyping in the past that led to the women's suffrage and equality struggle. We must challenge our misconceptions and prejudices rather than uphold our stereotypes, see persons not genders. And I believe that is EXACTLY what this artist is doing. Cudos

I see your point but it's just a light hearted cartoon. The fact that it doesn't depict any of what you listed might be more to do with the fact it wouldn't look so cute anymore if it did, in turn defeating the purpose of this type of art. You're literally offended because an artist didn't make art about serious issues over day to day stereotypes. The cartoon is in no way a testament to the issues you speak of not existing, so I don't see why you are offended unless you are reading into an implication that isn't there.
P.Bruce FHell: rather than complaining, why not create your own cartoons then?

Like REAL woman problems, such as lower wages than men. Cat-calling, domestic abuse, harder to get job opportunities... and those are FIRST world problems. Let's talk about genital mutilation, prostitution, famine and murder in developing and 3rd world countries... Calling those "problems" is offensive to say the least.
