Until humanity figures out a way to stop all of the aging processes, people, especially women, will work hard trying out each and every beauty secret to keep themselves young-looking. From face exercise to injecting your own blood into the skin as an anti-aging agent, there are some incredibly creative ways on how to prevent wrinkles and keep yourself looking as fresh as a daisy.
In their search for the ultimate answers on how to stay young, these women have employed strange methods that are as attractive in their simplicity as they are bizarre and extreme in their method. They aim to control their faces’ muscles and possible wrinkles by NEVER smiling (or, in one woman’s case, smiling ALL the time)!
Read on below to learn more about the unbelievable sacrifices they’ve made in the name of beauty!
(h/t: dailymail)
This is Tess Christian, age 50
Since she was 10, she has never smiled
She didn’t even smile when her daughter was born
“After Stevie’s birth I was overwhelmed with joy, but still didn’t feel the need to smile”
She says that this has helped her maintain her youthful looks
“My strategy is more natural than Botox and more effective than any expensive beauty cream or facial”
“It’s not as if I’m miserable. I love life. I just don’t feel the need to show it by walking around with a rictus grin on my face”
“My friends have nicknamed me Mona Lisa, after the da Vinci painting. Mona Lisa was said to have been quietly amused, as am I. I just won’t show it”
This is Vicky Kidd, aged 38
She decided to stop smiling 5 years ago, after splitting up with her partner
“The lines on my face were escalating and with advancing age I started worrying about being left on the shelf”
Christyne Remnant, 70, has a different strategy:
Since she was 8, she decided to never stop smiling
She says this helps prevent her forehead from developing wrinkles

Share on FacebookI love smiling wrinkles, they show that you are a life loving person. Wrinkles show that you are alive, not opposite like most people think.
I can't imagine going through life not showing emotion.
Load More Replies...Sad. There is a much deeper psychopathology in these women than meets the eye.
I agree. It comes off quite vain, in my opinion. Not able to risk a potential wrinkle to smile at your child... it seems so sad.
Load More Replies...First lady's lips are clearly retouched. Clearly she does not have much faith in her strategy... what a waste of effort
The first lady still looks her age really. And there's nothing wrong with that! Genetics & lifestyle affect looks more than not smiling.
I asked 3 people how old they thought the first woman was, they all said older than 50. Wrinkles don't age people.
Well sorry for these women but none of them looks younger than their age and the most beautiful one is the one always smiling.
If she didn't smile, she also didn't laugh for all those years. How unfortunate!
TSe woman who always smiles looks far better than the woman who never smiles. Such a pity these women are so vain.
Smile is a symbol of the joy of life..no need to fear wrnkle..without of smile..life does no.mean anything..smile...
Not smiling has, in my opinion, not made that woman more beautiful. Perhaps just more vain, not smiling even at your child, sad to me.
how can people refuse smilin just for lookin younger. What's the point of it. this won't protect you from death. So enjoy your life smiling!
Ridiculous - and anyways they look exactly the age they are in spite of it all! What's the point of life by making skin your god?!
Oh btw, you look like a 50 year old who has taken care of her skin/and tends to lean on the oily side, lol.....see you missed out for naught
I grew up with a mom who embraced her wrinkles. Not once has she ever said anything about getting surgery or Botox. Live, Love, Smile!
I think they all look their age and it was a long time wasted not have the simple pleasure of smiling.
Its not like these women are that beautiful. Go ahead and smile - its not not going to make a difference.
I really don't want wrinkles but I could never give up smiling. Life is too short to never smile at anything!
The woman who has the motto never stop smiling ...looks though much better then the one who thinks not smiling makes her look young . Because she still looks her age
Tess says that her method is more natural than beauty creams, facials, and botox. Facials and creams are great for your skin. Botox--not so much-LOL. The best thing a woman can do to keep her skin youthful is to use sunscreen, drink plenty of water, eat healthy, avoid alcohol, and don't smoke. That is a natural beauty regimen. Right, gals?
I smile every chance I get. I want to look like Christyne when I'm 70! (no kidding, she looks like she could be my sister) Smiling makes anybody more attractive. Tess actually looks sad, and she has dark circles under her eyes. And Vicky looks so much prettier in the photo where she is smiling. Kim K says that's why she never smiles in her photos, BC it will give her wrinkles. She is beautiful, but think how much more attractive she would look with a smile.
That is pathetic, how it's is possible that a person did not want to smile even at the born of her newborn baby. !!
I could never go a day without smiling! Who cares about wrinkles, live your life and enjoy. God, I would be miserable if I didn't smile. Good for your body and SOUL.
These women have allowed their vanity to make them insane. There is nothing more annoying than a permanent, insipid smile on either gender’s face.
New definition of resting b***h face 😶 but none of their methods worked so...
I love to smile , If i get wrinkles or not. That's just life. Be happy and show it.
How sad that you'd stop smiling so you won't get wrinkles. I love laughing with my children, they make me smile everyday.
There is no life in that unsmiling face. You die and take your vanity with you.
What a waste of time to stay wrinkle free. Expression less. They will go to their graves with frown lines. laughable
Freak! Can you imagine how is like as a child to grow besides such a mother?! Poor kid!
Sorry but she looks as old as she should be in Asian standard, her efforts did not work.
I can't say anything about the first one without being sounding mean so I will pass. I will freely express my happiness and joy and take....
my wrinkles with a grains of salt. They are a part of a richly expressed life.
Load More Replies...I never wrinkle forehead and smile, since I was 12. I am close to 50 and look good. I lift the corners of my mouth, never frown.
I think it's a wasted effort. All of these women look their age, if not older.
What 10 yr old decides to do that? Unless something traumatic had happened. I personally love laugh lines, and wrinkles show character imho.
I cannot imagine having that problem OR having that woman in my life either. Her sitting there with that face would make me want her gone.
I would do everything in my power to avoid the sour woman who is so vain she won't smile - disgusting. Rather give me a wrinkly who smiles!
Your skin is elastic&will not fall off your face if you crack a smile altho if you squint in the sun, its not good for your eyes
And the 'smiling' lady isn't really smiling. Her eyes aren't smiling.
My smiling wrinkles and lack of frown ones keep me looking younger. I highly recommend smiling to keep you looking young! :)
These women obviously love themselves more than anything. Question: What Price for Vanity?
I think she would look prettier if she smiled. Her looks make me sad. I'd rather have friends who smile, belly laugh and have wrinkles!
Christyne Remnant you are the right one smile your life out and show everyone how simple it is to be happy and when u keep smiling one day ;
A woman who thinks it is more important to avoid wrinkles than to smile to her children is unfit to be a mother.
these ladies are bizarre! (77, wrinkled and smiling or not, depnding on how i feel--life is too short to censor in this way
Someone seems self-obsessed. Smiling is a natural response. Her poor kid - must have been totally confused growing up.
I belive that the imperfect things are actually perfect...Yes we care 'bout our face and body but in this way? like we are robo-machine..
the unsmiling lady? looks older than 50, sorry~ the smiling lady? Ageless!
... Somebody needs to pin the first woman down and just tickle her - Seriously! ...
the 50 year old is extremely vain and boring. The 70 year old looks younger than the 50 year old.
I think the woman who never smiles is extremely vain and boring. The woman who is 70 looks younger than the 50 year old.
I think this is so sad, a smile is the most attractive part of every face!
Can you imagine your husband/boyfriend/son/parents saying to you "I love you" and you staying there with a poker face? -.-
I've always hoped to have smile wrinkles as I grow older... Getting old isn't something to be dreaded, it's a gift! Life is a gift, smile!:)
UR born w/ the face God gave U & you die w/ the face U deserve. Smiles make this world a better place. Smile lines RULE! How vain can U be?
You're born w/ the face God gave you & you die w/ the face you deserve. People love to be smiled at...they smile back. How vain can you be??
i would like too look wheathered when im older because i think it showes you have lived.Id rather talk to peolle with wrinkles. God bless
What ever! But most amuzing I find that the last Lady has Firefox dress!!! :D
Tess Christian is the pioneer of the Resting B***h Face even if she's not a b***h lolz
She wasted her whole life not lighting up the world. She took being superficial to a new level and robbed her family of seeing her in joy.
I think they nee to hear about Nerium! https://www.facebook.com/hkrauseneriumbrandpartner?ref=hl
I think they all look their age and it is very sad not to have the pleasure of smiling and all the benefits that go with it.
To place such importance on one's appearance to make a decision to not smile is ridiculous.
i think it is not if you smile ore not,its about tape of skin you have,i am 33 and i dont have any wrinkles at all...
I agree! My beautician once told me than oily skins look youthfull longer, because they are better 'lubricated' than other skin types. :)
Load More Replies...Well the only sad thing I see here is the comments, really, leave them alone. I've always hated happiness and smiling forced down my throat, the most annoying time of the year is the "happy" december. I'm a happy person, I'm very satisfied and happy with my life and how it's going but having people tell me I should show my happiness (smile) and pretty much force me to be happy if I'm not vat that time is torture to me, I'm not a liar and I don't show emotions if I'm not very into whatever is happening, if it doesn't excite me etc. I urge you people to let people have a neutral face and experience the world with their true face on. Being natural for the sake of no wrinkles not worth it, we all age, well botox is worse imo.. The worst is people forcing happiness on you, if you're not you're not and if you are you are, an annoying prick aka smiling robot that wants to die on the inside is just going to make your mood worse.
It's offensive when a complete stranger tells you "Smile! It can't be that bad!" Yes,it could be that bad. They may have just lost a loved one, for instance. It's none of their business.
