This Woman Just Held A ‘Funeral For Her Youth’ On Her 30th Birthday, And People Reacted Very Differently

Birthdays are supposed to be joyous occasions, where you gather your friends and family and celebrate your continued existence on planet Earth for yet another orbit of the sun.

Mila Blatova from Nizhni Novgorod, Russia, decided to do things a differently this year, however. Instead of celebrating the milestone of reaching her 30th birthday, she instead decided that it was a time for a funeral wake to commemorate the passing of the most precious gift of all, her youth.

“My idea came from not wanting to leave my 20’s and acknowledge that I’m now ‘old,’ Mila told UNILAD. “It was meant to be a funny way of accepting a new chapter in my life, the extreme drama in my 30th anniversary photo was me channeling Kris Jenner in a meme I saw of her.”

“I was looking for a dark twist on being boujee and super dramatic on my birthday.”

As you can probably tell by the photos, Mila does like to stand out from the crowd and drama pulses through her veins. Despite burying her beloved youth 6 feet under in a funeral, there are no signs of decay. She lives her life to the full and has vowed to own the fact that she’s now turning 30 by “having new adventures, traveling, taking care of my two little boys, and whatever else my life brings me.”

And her advice to anyone else nervously approaching the big 3-0? “Make the most of it and don’t be afraid of still having fun regardless of you getting old.”

Well, we still cannot decide if Mila’s party idea shows her fantastic sense of humor or is it grim and insensible. Anyways, scroll down to see the pictures for yourself and read the thoughts that the Internet had on Mila’s funeral soiree theme.

What better way to celebrate entering your 30’s than to hold a ‘funeral for your youth’?

It's a shame that those who have rightfully overcome the obstacles life has thrown at them don't get the attention this lady has received. People overcome cancer, syndromes, illnesses and they PRAY just to see 30. I would have preferred to have read something inspiring NOT thankless.

I think that even though others pray to see 30 it's ok to still have a laugh. I'm grateful for being able to walk by myself every day, but I still make jokes about how I can't be arsed to stand for a long period of time. I don't think this was thankless, this was just someone having some fun

She's still living her life with zest even at her age, which is truly something to admire. If you look at the people we consider very accomplished in life (Einstein, Bill Gates, Oprah, etc.) their greatest accomplishments happened well after their 30's. Look at the philanthropy of Bill Gates and Oprah. These accomplishments far outweigh the career accomplishments they made in their 30's, and Einstein wasn't able to truly "get going" until he had gathered all of those early years of research and thought to be his foundation. The majority of us reach our productive peak as people after our 30's, and for many, it's not until our 50's that we truly become productive. So she's just in the "practicing" years. I hope she learns this, too.

I’m fairly sure she held a photo shoot for herself and not a Funeral, but anyway. Let’s do a cryptically analysis of the image from the shoot. Birthday presents - Hubby may have supplied cash for photo shoot expense incl wardrobe etc. A rubber onsey (possibly good quality), floppy hat & a “cute” top to cover (neither look expensive), sunglasses (borrowed from friend or bought cheaply as a last minute thought) hair cut, colour & blow dryed, , makeup done (maybe - not expensive makeup), 1 magnum wine (doesn’t look like champers but?) and a couple helium balloons ....the black glass looks like sort bought from cheap gift shop. Bet it all added up, but to me the image looks cheap and although her intention was to do something eye catching and post it on social media, she has shyly hidden herself behind balloons and glasses etc instead of running with her idea. Happy birthday and yeah 30 is Old - I agree..

age is just a number. i know 60 years olds who are in better shape than me and who are traveling the world right now and going on hikes every weekend and seeing shows and eating out. your youth isn't dead because you survived another year of life on this planet.

I think you are conflating two totally different things. Would you feel comfortable hanging out at a nightclub where nobody around you was over 23? Probably not. That is a totally different thing than staying in good shape and keeping your mind healthy and active.

Was this a party or just a photoshoot with 1 woman and balloons? If she feels this way about 30 she's going to have TONS and TONS of disappointment in her life. The only option besides getting older makes getting old look and sound like a paradise vacation.

I'm a little worried about the person at the end who describes vodka jelly as a kid themed treat :D

All this just for a pointless set of numbers associated with a day in our year that has no relation no anything we do the remaining 364 days!!!!..... I’ve far bigger concerns

I don't know. But if you didn't like it, then why did you comment? And do you really have that much of a busy life that you desperately need those 5 seconds of your time back?

In a few months I will be also a 30 year person. I feel depresed with the post and the idea with this woman. Basically because "when does yoth ends?" I concluded that I will not care about if I am young or older.
