Men generally dominate key institutions. They govern, manage, preach, and according to TikTok user Allie, they have built the physical world for themselves, too.

To illustrate her point, she started a TikTok video series. Standing in front of a green screen displaying her research, Allie provides a wide range of real-life examples of how women are discriminated against on a day-to-day basis.

From using power tools to getting medical prescriptions, here are some of her arguments.

More info: TikTok

TikTok user Allie has created a video series to show people that "the world is built for cis men"

That's a long known problem. There are standard (=male) dummies, children dummies and baby dummies but not women dummies. This causes many problems with women drivers and passengers in the case of a crash - especially if that crash is frontal https://www.consumerreports.org/car-safety/crash-test-bias-how-male-focused-testing-puts-female-drivers-at-risk/

I spent 7 years trying to find a good antidepressant. A friend of mine (a woman), knowing that I was a sensitive person, recommended I try the lowest dose. I found the 'right medication' right after, it's 75% of the minimum dose of a medication I already tried, which is usually prescribed just to see if there are no side-effects before being doubled. I open the small capsule every morning to empty it a bit. My doctor believes it's in my head, that I should not feel it at such a small dose. It's not the first time this happens.

Same for seats on trains. I've noticed how they are custom built for a man of about 1,75 m sitting upright. Don't dare being smaller or the back of your head will be pushed forward by the "neck rest" intended for the taller man!

I refused to buy a car I otherwise liked for this reason. There was absolutely no way to adjust the headrest in a way that didn't push my head forward painfully. My much taller husband found it perfectly comfortable.

Headrests in cars are not comfortable because they are made for safety, not comfortability. The headrest pushes your head forward and down to keep it close to your spine so in the event of a rear-end collision it prevents neck hyperflexion. If you reallllllly need that comfortable headrest go with a luxury vehicle that has the ability to move the headrest forward and backward.

You can wear a lower pony tail or not wear one at all. height wise chairs are made with the average height of people as a whole in mind I'm 5'5" I have no problem reaching headrests. My mother had problems but she bought a cusion designed for the car to raise her up high enough to reach it. Those headrests push my head down so I'm looking at the bottom of the steering wheel. That's neither comfortable nor safe. I add a shaped pillow to nestle in the curve of my neck so my neck is supported, I'm not in pain, and I can see where I'm going. I't's so wonderful how many Karens of both genders here actively discussing "comfort" of head rests. Completely unaware about what they are built for. They are not for "rest". They are for keeping your neck from breaking, if something heavy will hit you from the back. Relax, I'm 1.8 and they are not comfortable for me too. They not designed to be comfortable, you should not drive relaxing, leaning back on the seat.

To make seatbelts work properly, your back should be flush against the back rest. At my height, some head rests demand me to put my chin on my chest if my back touches the back rest anywhere. That's neither comfortable nor safe. I need my headrest to not be in the way when I drive.

Then you have not adjusted your seat and headrest correctly! I'm 6'2 and my wife is 4'8 we can both sit in the same seat comfortably and safely once adjusted. As for wearing your hair up, your fashion choice should not trump safety. Balling any amount of hair at the the back of your head in the primary impact zone is not a smart idea, drive with your hair down or tied at the nape of your neck. Finally the girl in this picture is not wearing her seat belt. ALWAYS wear your seatbelt.

BS. I'm 5'5 and the headrest in my car pushes my head forward and causes my neck to hurt. Therefore I turn the headrest around backwards, which isn't providing any protection against Whiplash at that point. But I have no choice. By the way, every car maker does their headrests differently, so the fact that you and your wife can sit comfortably with the same headrest in the same car is pretty much moot

"especially if they have their hair up": from a safety standpoint you should simply not drive that way. You are putting an extra (hair)cushion between your head and the headrest. It is not designed for this. The same issues arises with a man bun.

That is the dumbest logic I have ever heard. Women are postured exactly like males are when sitting and standing. If your head is cocked forward like some invalid, that is because you have shitty posture. Headrests were not made for comfort primarily in mind. It's to keep your ass focused on the road. So put your damn phone down, straighten up that neck, and focus on the road.

Head rests are there for safety, not comfort. If you don't like the way your ponytail pushes against your head in the car, don't wear a ponytail. Car manufacturers aren't going to start making ponytail-friendly headrests, that would be ridiculous and they would then appear in one of those lists of items that are unnecessarily gender specific.

"Especially if they have their hair up" - really? This should a criteria to consider when designing headrests or other seating furniture with high back rests, like gaming chairs for example? Armchairs? Sofas? What is next? And beside this, all headrests are adjustable so you just to find the right position.

They often have the same footprint as the men's restrooms. One key difference is that, even if you have the same number of stalls, there will still be a longer line outside the women's toilets because women have to take longer. For a pee - a man has to open a zip, whip out his penis, relax a few muscles, shake, replace and wash his hands. Women need to first get half-undressed (literally, the bottom half must be undressed) to perform the same function. Women's lines would be shorter if we were given different equipment to use. And that's without entering into menstruation delays. Really, to be equal in timing, women need more stalls.

Considering male white color drescode -- men have to wear a jacket almost all the time, while for women it is ok to wear just a dress, or short sleave, or have a skirt/pants that doesnt cover her entiraly.
