Sadly, way too many people leave their common sense at home when visiting a zoo. As it turns out, forbidden petting, feeding and taunting of the animals is not as rare as it should be. Some people even take disobeying the zoo’s rules to the next level by sneaking into the enclosures of dangerous animals. While it’s hard to imagine what goes through the mind of these people, it’s evident that these daredevils haven’t learned their lesson yet.
You might remember the story of Harambe, the gorilla who was killed after a 4-year-old fell into his enclosure? Or that incident with a jaguar attacking a woman who stepped over the barriers? Let’s not forget that insane man who forgot that lions aren’t house cats and shouldn’t be petted! Well, brace yourself for an even more insane story coming up.

On Sunday, Instagram user realsobrino posted a shocking video showing a woman climbing into a lions’ exhibit during a visit to a Bronx zoo.

The woman, who obviously didn’t get the memo on how dangerous these apex predators are, actually tried to get the lion’s attention.

The lion seemed completely unfazed by the woman who was standing inches away from him and even waved and danced to get his attention.

Luckily, the animal didn’t attack the insane lady who was promptly escorted from the zoo’s premises. The unknown woman is now wanted by police for trespassing.

This is one of those situations where a wild animal has failed their natural instinct- he should have had her for dinner. We could do with one less idiot.

I guess he already had a scheduled dinner and was full as a tick, otherwise she would have had his dire attention. What an idiotic woman.
Lions, especially male lions, are lazy as hell. e's not hungry, because he gets regularly fed, so he's not wasting energy on her. If she'd got close enough to be a threat to him or to the rest of his pride, then he'd have killed her - that's his job after all - but she's not close enough for him to waste any energy on her.
Exactly, he's probably gotten used to people treating him so badly...
Probably decided he didn't want any of that stupid.
The lion is very smart. If he had attacked her they may have killed the him.

They wouldn't have to kill the lion. But they would do it because otherwise other idiots would go berserk over the fact that an animal did what it naturally does: Kill to eat.
Wasn't there an incident where a person climbed in and got mauled but not killed and they didn't kill the animal? I really doubt that many people, bar the family of the absolute IDIOT who got in there, would call for the animal to be destroyed. Zoos should make it impossible for visitors to get into the enclosures - I say this only for the sake of the staff who would have to try and get the animal away and for the sake of the animals.

How does downvoting this achieve anything in the way of punishment for this women? The police are looking for her - let's just hope they find her.

Or...since she is obviously guilty of a crime and wanted by the police, we could continue to share the story so that she can be identified and actually punished for her stupidity.
