I Built A Tiny Café In My Garden, Here Are 30 Fun Photos Of My Visitors
My name is Kristen Flagg and I am an amateur photographer.
Due to quarantine life and feeling rather lonely and depressed, I went outside to find some happiness. Well, unfortunately, I couldn’t go too far due to lockdown, so I created my own little space at my home. My husband built six small picnic tables for the squirrels and I began taking photos of all our different visitors. I began to actually look forward to waking up and going outside to see our guests. I add new stuff every day for the squirrels and chipmunks to explore. All my little visitors have names, which makes it really fun.
I also recently started Rosie's Café Facebook page. I thought if these moments give me a smile, maybe they would help others too… Rosie’s is all about spreading smiles and kindness, especially now, in times we need it more than ever.
My café is in Norwich, Connecticut. I named the café Rosie’s because the city I live in is nicknamed Rose City.

"hello, beautiful lady! Are you single? Wanna get married and come live in my house with me? The humans feed us!"
"hi, Dave!" "hi Stella! did you feed the kids?" "oh c**p" "DARN IT STELLA AGAIN?!" also the frog looks disgusted.

Feeding a few backyard animals healthy foods isn't going to cause the dire things some may believe. These lighthearted photos cheered the photographer, her family and quite a few of us. We all need to be good to one another during these turbulent times. Kindness matters.
What a clever idea!.....very imaginative and beautiful photography.
I already followed Kristen´s FB page, now I´m also following her here on Bored Panda, thanks a lot for this post, it brightened up my day.
These are terrific, thank you! I feed squirrels on my window ledge and buy them filberts, walnuts or pecans in the shell. It's a whole 'nother fascinating thing to watch them spend 10 careful minutes chewing and measuring and doing the math in their heads to figure out how big, how many bites, where to start. They don't eat as much because it takes so long for each 1 nut. They get so excited over walnuts you'd think you bought them each a steak. The faces they make!
I love this thread so much! I have a similar party in my backyard, but not by design. During the day there are squirrels and birds of all descriptions. At night the party looks more like a rave with broken-into trashcans, food-drunk raccoons, possums, skunks, and coyotes. I live in the heart of Los Angeles, you might not think it, but the area is still brimming with wildlife.
Sorry guys, for some reason it showed up.in my feed and now its back to current, enjoy the squirrels lol xx
Thank you Miss Kristen Flagg! My husband & I feed squirrels & other animals. It bring us much joy to share our world with " God's Creatures." How can people criticize folks who are kind to animals? We share the world with them as God intended. Never like reading about "invasive species." You're one of God's Angels, husband too for protecting these precious animals. Thanks Again, Darsi C., in Utah
I am obsessed with this!!!!!! Every single picture is a total snapshot of the animals' exact enjoyment. #9, I know that gorgeous thing is smiling! #21... just ahhhh! So cute!!! Can you lovely artist come to my house!? Thanks on behalf of patrons of Rosie's Cafe for your love of animals for taking the time and care to do that for them. You and all those cutie pies have made my day... and my phone wallpaper!
