Sleep, eat, work, repeat. Our busy schedules have an adverse effect called stress. In fact, it’s so common that nobody really cares about it until it strikes with its sharp anxiety needles. Luckily, we have our adorable animals who help to bring our emotions back on track. They place us into the mode of cuteness overload that is sweet like chocolate and adorable like a puppy. So here it is—our new wholesome dog photo compilation to refresh your day. You can never have too much of a good thing, so take a look at previous cute dog posts compiled by Bored Panda here and here. Don’t be greedy! We invite all our fellow pandas to share the pictures of your beautiful dogs! And if one of them happens to be right here next to you, thank them for all the joy they bring to our otherwise turbulent lives.

The Best Boy
This Makes Me Happy
Science claims that a companion animal can be an excellent solution to many psychological problems. You can call it the pet effect. How does it work? To find out, Bored Panda spoke to Antonio Diaz, a certified and professional K-9 trainer and dog behavioral specialist based in Las Vegas, about the health benefits of having an adorable dog in your life.
“Dogs give people a reason to keep living. My German Shepherd, Brooklyn, literally helped me get through depression after a bad motorcycle accident in 2012 and she is the reason I found my passion and I am doing what I love. Dogs can be extremely affectionate towards humans and they also have the ability to read our body language much better than we (most people) can read theirs."
Studies have shown that dogs can make people happier, lower blood pressure, lower heart rates, and help to release serotonin and other 'feel good' hormones in the brain. Dogs can literally help you live longer! Moreover, “Dogs are used in courtrooms to help victims of sexual and violent crimes speak during their testimony. They are used to help children build confidence in reading and also used to bring happiness to the elderly.”

Friendship Through The Toughest Of Times
That’s what best friends are for, to be there in the good times and the rough times.
But these smart dogs, just like us, have different characters too, right? Antonio confirms: “Some dogs are more independent and like more space, therefore may not pay enough attention to their owner to understand them. These dogs would be less likely to read or understand their human counterparts. I believe that is dependent on the strength of the bond and relationship between a person and their dog. The more time you spend with your dog and the more emotional states they witness, the better they can understand you. With all that said, dogs are master observers and probably know more about us than we think.”

Froma Walsh, a Professor Emerita from the University of Chicago's Department of Psychiatry, claims that our ancestors already knew about the importance of the human–animal bond. “In ancient times and in cultures worldwide, animals have been respected as essential partners in human survival, health and healing. Many spiritual traditions have honored the relationships of people to animal forms of life.” In fact, “Dogs were considered such loyal companions during life that they were revered as guides in the afterlife. When a pet dog died, the owners shaved off their eyebrows, smeared mud in their hair, and mourned aloud for days.”

The photos are really sweet and funny. But they make me sooo sad, because they remind me of my dog and I miss him so very much. Almost 1 year since he's gone...
I'm sorry for your loss.
So sad. Three and four years ago for my first two dogs - miss them everyday and I don't think I'll ever stop. I love my current doggo companions but they are in addition to, not instead of.
So so sorry for your loss! There are no words to comfort you, but know, that I've been there too, so I know how it hurts. Sending all good thoughts your way!
You have my most sincere sympathies; losing a special dog is pretty much the worst. I lost my sweet pitty to lymphoma at the age of six. She was my heart dog and her illness came at the tail end of losing my beloved cats within three months of each other. I miss that dog every goddam day, even though it's almost been three years. I already thought about her earlier today and missed her. I have two "newer" dogs, but I don't feel the same about them even though I'm very fond of Bo. There's not that same ability to read my mind, and Bo is kind of dumb comparatively speaking. Ripley was the best bad dog I've ever had and she struggled just for me.
I feel you. My wife had her dog for 17 years and I was with him the last 14 of those. He passed two years ago now and is buried under three trees for shade. We decided he would have wanted us to rescue another dog and give then a good home like we have him. We've had our puppy for a little over a year now.
I feel for you. My dog is gone too...Miss her so much.
Soooo many gawjuss photos. Dogs are incredible animals.
Loving and loyal!
That was some serious heart melting material. ♡
Loved em all ☺
My only problem is the puppy then vs 15 yr old dog now pics..its a reminder how something as good, loyal, awesome has such a limited time on this earth
^^^Awwww so cute and so sweet!!!
Miss my girl so much. It's almost two years now ... 😔🐾🐾
I miss my cousin's dog so much. He passed away 2 years ago but he was such a good friend to me, and I was merely a guest there. There was this day I was crying at this spare room and he joined in. I didn't want him to cry along so I stopped so he would too XD another day I spent there I was really sick. So I decided I'd take a nap, and when I woke up he was laying by my side, cuddling gently. Good memories :P
I wish this was one where you could add your own because I have the most adorable picture of the first time I realized just how much my newest rescue loves car rides.
Add it here - we'd love to see the photo.
I just wanted a quick peek before sleep!
An hour or so later... ❤❤❤
Worth every wonderful minute.
Probably not healthy, but whenever I see a dog I get filled with a rage against humans. Just the thought of a dog not being treated properly, I think. And there are a lot of those cases. And those people should be Thanos snapped.
As they say, the picture is worth a thousand words. All the pictures are so heartwarming and funny. Loved them all.
I had to upvote every one of them. Even though I'm really a cat person.
There is everything to love about this entire post!
Thanks for making me cry on almost every post

Love these posts. So heart warming.
I ended up upvoting every single picture ❤
Yeah, I started crying after like 6th or 7th. We are so deeply blessed to have freinds like that. Cherish each and every momonet, because unlike you, who can have several animals in life, they will have only you through their whole life here.
